We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Director to join our team. As a Sales Director, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth, building strong client relationships, and providing strategic guidance to our customers. Your primary focus will be on selling Yahoo’s premium sponsorship packages & media solutions to agencies and brands, helping them achieve their marketing objectives.

Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy and Revenue Generation:

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve revenue targets.

  • Identify and target potential clients, including agencies and brands, to promote the differentiated value and benefits of advertising with Yahoo.  

  • Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline, tracking opportunities to ensure consistent revenue growth.

  • Collaborate with the sales team and senior management to create effective strategies and tactics.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Establish and nurture strong relationships with key decision-makers at client organizations, acting as their trusted advisor.

  • Understand client business objectives, marketing goals, and challenges to propose tailored solutions across Yahoo.  .

  • Conduct presentations to showcase the capabilities and advantages of Yahoo.  .

  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring client satisfaction and retention.

Consultative Selling and Solution Development:

  • Analyze client business needs, leveraging your expertise in digital advertising to develop customized partnership solutions.

  • Collaborate with internal teams, including operations, marketing, and product, to ensure client requirements are met.

  • Stay up to date with industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to provide strategic insights and recommendations to clients.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with Yahoo Consumer teams to provide client feedback, contribute to product roadmap discussions, and identify areas for improvement.

  • Collaborate with the account management team to ensure seamless onboarding, campaign execution, and optimization for clients.

  • Coordinate with the finance and legal departments to negotiate contracts and ensure compliance with company policies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred but not required (advanced degree preferred).

  • Proven track record of success in digital advertising sales, preferably in a comparable Publisher environment.  

  • In-depth knowledge of premium display advertising and brand sponsorship sales.  

  • Strong understanding of the digital advertising landscape, including trends, challenges, and industry best practices.

  • Exceptional sales and negotiation skills, with a demonstrated ability to close deals and exceed revenue targets.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capability to leverage data to drive strategic decision-making.

  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.

The compensation for this position ranges from $188,625.00 - $393,125.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience.The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions.
