Sales Director, Mechanical Systems North America

As a Sales Director focused on the North America Region, you will utilize your technical knowledge, understanding of customer issues, and broad industry experience to maximize the value of Cadence solutions and workflows.

You will need to rely on your strong relationship building and superior communication skills to connect with business and technology customer stakeholders, identify critical challenges and gain buy-in to drive new business.

The ideal candidate will reside in the Metro Detroit area, possess relationships with the leading automotive manufacturers and their supply chains, and demonstrate a track record of success hiring and managing a team of Sales Executives.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the existing CAE sales team, identify areas of growth and build a team to drive sales with solid and consistent YoY growth
  • Take personal responsibility for key strategic accounts. Develop win-win relationships in a mutual collaborative environment at executive level
  • Implement Solution Selling and Strategic Selling methodology within the Sales team to identify and qualify prospective companies, establish relationships with key stakeholders, influencers, and decision makers at all levels of the customer organization to and grow the mechanical systems business
  • Work with field technical team to deliver solutions specific to the Automotive, Aerospace, Marine, High-Tech and Industrial equipment markets.
  • The ability to deliver presentations with compelling technical and economic value propositions for engineering and business staff at all levels to build customer relationships and become a “trusted advisor”
  • Direct successful pre-sales campaigns (setting objectives, managing cross-functional teams, and delivering solutions) working with Cadence technical staff (application engineering, program management, R&D) and customers (engineers, managers, IT, leadership).

Position requirements:

Experience

10+ years of Sales/Sales Management with experience selling CAE products and services

Education

MS or BS Degree in a technical discipline or business field

Location

USA - working in Farmington Hills, MI, able to travel
