About Gaya AI

Gaya AI is transforming how insurance professionals work.

Our platform acts as an AI copilot for insurance agents and brokers - reducing manual data entry, simplifying quoting workflows, and helping professionals spend less time on administration and more time serving clients.

We are a startup building practical AI tools for real businesses. Our team moves quickly, values ownership, and believes great products grow through meaningful conversations with customers. We’re looking for Sales Development Representatives who are excited to help introduce this technology to the insurance industry.

The Role

As a Sales Development Representative, you’ll be the first point of contact with potential customers. Your main goal is to start conversations, build relationships, and book product demos through both inbound and outbound outreach, and finally close out on deals and onboard new clients. You won’t just be selling; you’ll be helping professionals adopt a new way of working.

This is a high-activity, relationship-driven role suited for individuals who are comfortable reaching out to new people, handling rejection professionally, and improving through consistent practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive outbound and inbound outreach to prospective clients through calls, email, and digital channels to generate new business opportunities, tracking activities and pipeline progress in CRM tools

  • Clearly communicate Gaya AI’s value proposition and engage prospects in consultative conversations that uncover real business needs

  • Qualify leads and schedule product demonstrations, ensuring a strong and consistent pipeline of high-quality opportunities

  • Guide early-stage onboarding conversations and maintain proactive follow-ups to move prospects toward adoption

  • Build authentic relationships with potential customers and confidently handle rejection while maintaining momentum

  • Support pricing and solution discussions by helping prospects understand product plans and practical use cases

  • Collaborate closely with founders and the sales team to refine messaging, test outreach strategies, and continuously improve conversion outcomes

Who Thrives in This Role

You may be a strong fit if you:

  • Communicate clearly and confidently with new people

  • Stay motivated even after hearing “no”

  • Are disciplined, dependable, and self-directed

  • Enjoy helping others solve practical problems

  • Are curious about technology and willing to learn quickly

  • Prefer a fast-moving startup environment over rigid corporate structures

Backgrounds that often succeed in this role include:

  • Insurance or financial services (preferred)

  • Customer-facing roles

  • Call centers or outbound sales

  • Recruiting or account coordination

  • Hospitality or service industries

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in insurance, brokerage, or related industries (a strong advantage)

  • Comfort with phone-based outreach and client conversations

  • Strong listening skills and professional communication style

  • Ability to manage follow-ups and maintain organization independently

  • Reliable internet connection and remote work setup

  • Sales experience is helpful but not required

Compensation will be topped up with Commission Fees
