As a Senior Sales Development Representative at Sift, you’ll be focused on strategic accounts. You’ll be responsible for generating meaningful pipeline by identifying and engaging with strategic prospects on how Sift can positively impact their business. You’ll conduct extensive research on strategic prospects and engage with them by outbound prospecting, social outreach, networking, and attending field events. An additional objective is to raise visibility to the Sift brand. What you’ll do:

  • Identify key personas within your high value accounts and lay the foundation for a strong, long lasting relationship.

  • Conduct thoughtful prospecting activities, including relevant and personalized calls, social & email touches. Our expectations are for 40-50 meaningful activities a day.

  • Set up discovery calls for SMB/Mid-Market/Enterprise Account Executives.

  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to support successful campaigns.

  • Represent the Sift brand at industry conferences.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of prior sales development experience (SaaS, Tech, or startup experience strongly preferred).

  • Experience with using sales tools (e.g. Salesforce, Outreach, Linkedin Sales Navigator).

  • BA/BS degree from an accredited university (Business or Technical major a plus) - or equivalent experience.

  • Excellent written/verbal communication and organizational skills.

  • Executive presence.

  • Passion for sales and a desire to build a career in software and technology.

Let’s build it together:

At Sift, we are intentionally building a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace. We believe that diversity drives innovation, equity is a fundamental right, and inclusion is a basic human need. We envision a place where all Sifties feel secure sharing their authentic selves and diverse experiences with their teams, their customers, and their community – ultimately using this empowerment and authenticity to build trust and create a safer Internet.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
