We’re looking for a motivated, proactive Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our sales team. This is an entry-level role designed for someone eager to learn, grow, and make an impact. You’ll be the first point of contact for potential customers—sparking conversations, understanding needs, and setting the stage for long-term relationships.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Identify, research, and engage potential customers through outbound prospecting (primarily by email & phone).

  • Qualify leads and schedule discovery meetings for our Account Executives.

  • Collaborate closely with marketing and sales teams to refine messaging and improve lead generation efforts.

  • Focus on the value that Monotype brings to an organization by understanding the pain points that prospective customers are currently experiencing.

  • Pass qualified opportunities to Americas new business Sales team, based on established rules of engagement

  • Maintain accurate records of all customer interactions in our CRM system.

  • Learn the ins and outs of our products and the creative SaaS space to confidently speak with prospects.

  • Continuously improve by testing outreach strategies, sharing feedback, and participating in team training sessions.

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience: 6+ months in a customer-facing or service role (retail, hospitality, support, etc.). Sales experience is a plus but not required.

  • Mindset: You’re proactive, curious, and not afraid to take initiative. You don’t wait for things to happen—you make them happen.

  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable talking to anyone.

  • Common Sense: You approach situations thoughtfully, make smart decisions, and follow through.

  • Motivation: You’re excited to build a career in sales and open to learning fast in a collaborative, creative environment.

  • Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using CRM tools, email, and modern workplace software.
