About Cove
We are on a mission to build software and create in-person experiences that transform the way people engage with their physical environment. We do this by partnering with real estate owners and operators to put the experience in everyone's hands. Since 2013, our vision has always been to create great spaces, provide great service, and use technology to make everything easier. With operations in our DNA, we have built a dynamic platform to connect the physical and digital worlds -turning real estate into a consumer-driven experience that brings people to the forefront. We've recently welcomed solid funding specifically to strengthen our sales team with strategic headcount growth and the tech tools to accomplish our goals.

About You
  • A quick learner who has strong communications skills and an ability to efficiently deliver the cove value proposition and handle objections.
  • A natural conversationalist, leveraging innate curiosity to establish rapport with prospects of any level, region, job function, and status as a decision maker.
  • A proficient researcher, able to flawlessly identify ICP qualities in a company, decision-making capabilities in a prospect, hierarchical structure in leadership, and relevant activity history in an account before beginning outreach to fully enrich your knowledge and grasp of the why/who/how/when triggers.
  • Highly organized self-starter with the ability to multitask efficiently. Always aware of what's next on your list and the main priorities for the day.
  • Coachable: able to take feedback both critical and positive and execute on that.
  • Collaborative: not afraid to share your ideas and give feedback in a professional manner.
  • Competitive: willing to learn from hearing "no" to help fuel you to the rewarding future "yes" - gaining valuable and actionable account intel while being rejected is still considered a win!

Responsibilities
Report directly to the Manager of Sales Development, whose true passions are the art of cold calling and teaching others how to surpass their targets (seriously - he loves being an SDR). Through this role you will get engaged in our prospecting and sales process, learn how we go-to-market, operate within and help to enrich our CRM process, and generate opportunities that will help us to meet our growth targets. Although some processes will be in place, you will have a big role in defining and shaping these.
Qualifications
  • 1-2 years of marketing, inside sales or sales development related experience
  • Ability to demonstrate strong articulation of a product selling points via phone and email
  • Open to failure and rejection in the spirit of learning, progress, and resilience!
  • Strong oral and written communication skills along with excellent listening skills
  • Ability to develop rapport, influence others and maintain strong working relationships
  • Ability to explain complex issues clearly, summarize the contents of a discussion succinctly
  • Must be self-motivated, persistent, and able to work independently
  • Must be intellectually curious and want to receive/provide constructive feedback

OTE: $80,000-100,000 depending on experience.
What We Offer

From our days of operating neighborhood co-working spaces, we strive to Be a Great Neighbor to both our community, clients and fellow teammates.
  • Flexible work schedule ensuring work fits into your life and not the other way around
  • Monthly Town Halls, virtual company events and annual retreat to help your team stay connected
  • Macbook and home office stipend to support your personal productivity.
  • Opportunity to make a real impact every day.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
