We’re looking for an SDR to join our Sales organization focusing on inbound & outbound leads for companies in the Mid-Market and Enterprise space. We’ve seen incredible success growing our customer base in this category and we intend to double down on this and make it central to our growth strategy.

In this role, you’ll be reporting to our Head of Sales Development. Additionally, you’ll be responsible for converting leads from focus outbound accounts, events, trials, webinars, etc into qualified pipeline.

This is a hybrid role (2-3 days/week) based in one of our offices in SF or NYC.

On any given day you might find yourself:
  • Responsible for qualifying new leads and driving pipeline within your assigned territory

  • Partner with Account Executives and Sales Engineers to run discovery and demos
  • Accelerate conversion to S1 pipeline by sending targeted, personalized messages to prospects in our orbit
  • Schedule qualified meetings for our Mid-Market + Enterprise Account Executives
  • Work with Demand Generation on targeted campaigns
  • Develop, test, and iterate on tactics
  • Help improve the blueprint for scaling the SDR function at Hex
  • Provide input back to engineering, product management, and marketing
  • Create and deliver accurate forecasts
About You:

To be successful in this role, you:

  • Have inbound/outbound SDR experience with a technical product (engineers or data end users)
  • Have excellent communication skills
  • Conduct prospect research and outreach personalization
  • Keep an iterative mindset and are comfortable experimenting and failing
  • Enterprise experience is beneficial but not required
  • Are passionate/curious about the data & analytics space
  • Are capable of managing a large pipeline of high-velocity opportunities
  • Are capable/willing to learn basic SQL (if you haven't already)
  • Possess an enthusiasm for working as part of a team and an ability to partner successfully with cross-functional peers such as product, account executives, engineering, customer success, etc.
  • Are comfortable in a fast-paced, often ambiguous environment.

In addition to our unique culture, Hex proudly offers a competitive total rewards package, including but not limited to, market-benched salary & equity, comprehensive health benefits, and flexible paid time off.

The compensation for this position is $32.22 per hour, and is also eligible for commissions.

The range shown may be a reflection of additional factors such as geographical location and skill ranges/levels we’re open to. Placement in the salary range will be decided upon completion of the interview process, taking into account factors like leaving room for growth, internal fairness & parity, your demonstrated skills, and the depth of your experience. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
