The Position

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) role at Machinio is a key driver of growth for our SaaS product, Machinio System. This position is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to break into the tech industry and gain hands-on experience in a fast-growing software company. Our SDR team is a high-performing, collaborative group that values curiosity, resilience, and a strong desire to learn. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, is motivated to make an immediate impact, and is eager to develop core sales skills.
In this role, you will learn how to build relationships with prospective business owners from the ground up, guide those relationships through the early stages of the sales cycle, and partner closely with Account Executives to generate new business. This is a dedicated prospecting role, focused on creating new opportunities, with a clear and structured path to grow into a Business Development Executive position within 14–18 months.
Machinio operates in a large, established global industry undergoing digital transformation. This role offers the opportunity to gain meaningful, real-world sales experience quickly while contributing to a company with international reach and momentum. Responsibilities:
- Prospect and build relationships with business owners and senior decision-makers
- Generate and qualify new sales opportunities
- Partner with Account Executives to advance and generate new revenue
- Meet and exceed daily, weekly, and monthly performance targets/KPIs.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to improve processes and contribute to team success

- Base salary

Our Interview Process:
- Step 1 - Phone Interview with the Senior Director of Operations to get to know you!
- Step 2 - Google Meets video interview with our Account Executive, to participate in an assessment, discuss the role and compensation details.
- Step 3 - Final interview with our Vice President of Sales.
We are efficient decision-makers, and we like to keep our interview process within 2-3 weeks. We are real employees, with long tenures and institutional knowledge, and we work with and manage the job/team for which you are interviewing.
