Job Summary

Udext is looking for a motivated Sales Development Representative (SDR) to help fuel our growth by qualifying inbound demand and generating new sales opportunities. This role is ideal for recent graduates and early-career candidates who want hands-on experience in B2B SaaS sales and exposure to how a fast-growing startup builds revenue from the ground up.

As an SDR, you will be the first human touchpoint for many prospects. You’ll respond to inbound leads, qualify interest, book demos, and run campaigns to reach new potential customers. You’ll work closely with our Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) and Account Executives (AE) to learn the full sales cycle and build strong foundational sales skills.

This role can be performed remotely, or in a hybrid setup for candidates located near our team.

Key ResponsibilitiesQualify Inbound Leads
  • Respond quickly to inbound requests (pricing, demos, contact forms)

  • Understand prospect needs and determine fit before scheduling meetings

Book Demos for Account Executives
  • Convert qualified leads into booked meetings

  • Clearly communicate Udext’s value, use cases, and next steps

Run Outbound Prospecting Campaigns
  • Execute multi-channel outreach via email, phone, and LinkedIn

  • Identify and engage new potential customers in industries we serve

Manage Your Pipeline in HubSpot
  • Track all activities, follow-ups, and lead status accurately

  • Keep pipeline organized and moving consistently

Collaborate Closely with Sales Leadership
  • Work directly with the CRO and AEs to refine messaging and targeting

  • Support outbound strategy and go-to-market experiments

Share Feedback and Insights
  • Provide feedback on lead quality, objections, and patterns from conversations

  • Help improve our messaging, campaigns, and qualification process

What We’re Looking For
  • Recent graduate or early-career professional interested in sales, startups, or SaaS

  • Strong communication skills and comfort speaking with new people

  • Coachable mindset and willingness to learn quickly

  • Organized and disciplined with follow-ups and CRM hygiene

  • High energy, curiosity, and resilience

  • No prior sales experience required (internships or customer-facing roles are a plus)

Why You’ll Love It HereReal Sales Experience

You’ll work on real deals with real buyers - not “practice” work.

High-Growth Startup Environment

Udext has strong inbound demand and clear momentum.

Direct Access to Leadership

Learn directly from the CRO and gain visibility into real go-to-market strategy.

Clear Career Path

Strong SDRs can grow into Account Executive, Partnerships, or Revenue Operations roles.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
