What We're Researching

We are running a paid study on everyday Salesforce Sales Cloud workflows. We want to see how professionals navigate the platform to manage their pipelines and daily tasks. This research helps us understand the practical friction points and efficiencies in modern sales operations.

How It Works

You will record a brief video walking us through one of your standard workflows in Salesforce Sales Cloud. During the screen recording, you will explain your thought process and highlight any custom steps you take. We ask that you narrate your actions clearly as you move through the interface. The entire process is conducted asynchronously for your convenience.

Who This Is For

We welcome current Sales professionals, RevOps specialists, and Salesforce administrators who actively use Sales Cloud. You should be comfortable recording your screen and narrating your workflow aloud. Candidates with experience customizing or optimizing their own pipeline views are highly encouraged to apply.

What You'll Do
  • Record a screen-capture video of your Salesforce Sales Cloud environment

  • Walk through a standard daily or weekly sales workflow step by step

  • Narrate your thought process and explain why you take specific actions

  • Highlight any friction points or custom workarounds you use

Who Should Apply
  • Active Sales or RevOps professional

  • Regular user of Salesforce Sales Cloud

  • Comfortable recording your screen and speaking aloud

  • Familiar with standard pipeline and account management workflows

Compensation

$70 per task

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
