What We're Researching

We're running a paid study on the workflows, processes, and software tools that power modern sales and revenue operations. We want to understand how teams manage data pipelines, align sales goals, and maintain their tech stack. Your operational experience helps us identify friction points in current revenue platforms.

How It Works

You will participate in a 30-minute virtual interview regarding your daily operational tasks and tool usage. We will ask you to walk us through your current technology stack, explaining how you manage data and support your sales teams. You will describe specific operational challenges you face and evaluate potential workflow improvements. The conversation takes place via a remote voice and video call.

Who This Is For

We are hiring professionals who actively manage sales and revenue operations at their organizations. We welcome Sales Operations Managers, RevOps Analysts, CRM Administrators, and Directors of Revenue Operations. You should be deeply familiar with the tools and processes required to keep a sales organization running smoothly.

What You'll Do
  • Detail your daily sales and revenue operations workflows.

  • Discuss the primary software tools you use to manage data and processes.

  • Describe a recent challenge you faced while aligning sales operations.

  • Evaluate potential workflow improvements during a remote conversation.

Who Should Apply

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
