ABOUT THE ROLE

Roland Foods is excited and fully committed to growing our Non-Commercial Sales Team and we are seeking an experienced and motivated sales professional to contribute to the overall growth of a defined customer portfolio with a focus on existing & new customers.

The Sales Analyst is a team based, self-driven, results oriented sales professional that will interact with customer leadership teams, Category Managers, and other decision makers to facilitate account growth with a focus on generating incremental and new business. The ideal candidate has B2B sales experience in Account Management, an analytical mindset, and a desire to win. The Sales Analyst will effectively engage and initiate cross-functional collaboration with the following internal teams: Supply Chain, Logistics, Revenue Management, Business Process and Technology and Marketing.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support existing business and pursue new placement opportunities with the goal of creating incremental growth through direct and indirect selling activities
  • Analyze non-commercial billback data to determine white space opportunities and areas of hunting for both internal & external sales teams
  • Process & manage all sample requests for the non-commercial segment
  • Analyze Business Opportunities: Conduct thorough analyses of the business landscape to identify innovative strategies for penetrating existing markets and acquiring new non-commercial business. This may involve leveraging tactics such as Retain & Grow initiatives, whitespace campaigns, and promotional activities
  • Facilitate sales activity with customers and GPO members through education, relationships, and traditional selling efforts, utilizing business technology reports and data
  • Coordinate with the Regional Sales, Revenue Management, Category Management, Supply & Demand Planning and Logistics teams to effectively service customers and drive opportunities to appropriate channels
  • Develop a viable pipeline of low complexity opportunities
  • Assist in Non-Commercial (FSM, GPO) Bids, RFPs, and opportunities
  • Initiate new program contracts and consistently renew existing program contracts for various accounts as needed in Blacksmith
  • Partner with internal teams to ensure all documentation is up to date in various customer portals such as trace gains, arrow stream, etc., and manage all GPO documentation and pricing in various customer portals
  • Participate in business related meetings, travel to NY office, and travel to customer meetings when necessary
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with internal teams across marketing and finance functions to garner support and resources essential for achieving your goals.
  • Identifying opportunities and developing a GTM plan for proper execution  
  • Actively participate in assigned projects aimed at advancing business objectives
  • Foster strategic partnerships and maintain a long-term focus with internal and external stakeholders
  • Navigate multiple technology and systems/tools to manage customer pipeline, current customers, initiatives and asset placements and initiative to deliver the business

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

Required

  • 5+ years of prior Sales, Account Management, Inside Sales and/or Customer Success experience
  • Administrative and organizational skills with experience using a CRM program, preferably Salesforce
  • Strong proficiency with Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Filters, etc.)
  • Organized, detail oriented with strong writing and proactive communication skills
  • Entrepreneurial mindset that values taking initiative and owning solutions
  • Experience effectively managing time while working remotely

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5-7+ years of experience in the food industry; in particular, selling to hospitality / food service / retail / manufacturing
  • Previous exposure in the GPO segment a bonus
  • Culinary background a bonus

 

SALARY RANGE

Roland Foods hires exceptional people to perform a wide variety of important functions that contribute to the success of the Company. One of the ways Roland Foods does that is through a competitive compensation package. The base salary for this role will be $60,000 - $75,000.

This role is bonus eligible.

Based on your qualifications, previous experience, and transferrable skills, the Company will determine at its sole discretion the salary offered.
