The Risk Management Analyst supports implementation of risk management policies, assesses risks, collaborates with stakeholders, and manages third-party risks and controls.
Geode Capital Management, LLC is seeking a Risk Management Analyst. The Risk Management Analyst is responsible for supporting aspects of Geode’s Risk Management Program, including operational, technology, and third-party related risks. This role involves identifying, assessing, monitoring, managing, mitigating, and reporting of relevant risks in a structured, coordinated, and consistent manner.
The Risk Management Analyst will report to the Director of Technology Risk and support implementation of risk management policies and procedures to protect the organization and support Geode’s business objectives, strategy, and overall success.
This is a hybrid work environment opportunity located in Boston, Massachusetts with a weekly in office schedule of Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays and remote work availability on Mondays and Fridays.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist the Risk Management team with the implementation of risk policies and procedures, including the company’s risk management framework and assessment methodology
- Support operations & technology focused risk assessments and scenario analyses to evaluate the impact of identified risks
- Partner with business stakeholders to design and implement internal controls that mitigate identified risks, support strategic initiatives, or remediate errors
- Prepare data and metrics-based analysis to help proactively monitor and report on risks across the company through use of Key Risk Indicators (‘KRIs’)
- Help establish and maintain a risk taxonomy, business process & controls inventory, and risk assessment related data within the GRC tool
- Oversee completion initial risk assessment and on-going due diligence of Geode’s key vendors to identify and assess any risks that may directly or indirectly impact the company
- Identify opportunities to improve Geode’s Third-party risk program, including interactions with internal business stakeholders and vendor contacts
- Help business areas with business resilience and crisis management plans to respond to significant business disruptions
- Collaborate with the Internal Audit team to foster alignment between risk & audit functions, including areas such as risk assessment and issues management
Skills You Bring:
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in enterprise, operations, and/or technology risk, vendor oversight, and/or public accounting preferably with experience in the asset management industry
- Bachelor's degree (or above) preferably in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Risk Management, or Business Administration
- Risk or audit related certifications preferred (e.g., CRCCP, COSO ERM, CISA, CRISC, PMI-RMP, etc.)
- Self-starter with the ability to work and think independently
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong relationship building, organization, and critical thinking skills
- Proficient time management skills with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
