Our Impact:

As part of Freddie Mac’s Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) organization, the Risk and Control Program is a recently established program to drive consistency in approach and reporting for Risk and Control Profiles at both the enterprise and divisional levels. Our Risk and Control Profiles are point-in-time assessments of risk within and across each category using methodologies consistent with Risk Appetite. It reports on the strength of the control environment to allow for monitoring against target risk levels.

Your Impact:

  • Establish consistent risk and control profile methodology and drive automation

  • Identify and establish core elements and guidance to be applied in consistently across the population

  • Liaise with key stakeholders to onboard new risk profiles to standard reporting processes and routines

  • Liaise with stakeholder base to identify additional reporting needs and enhancements required for automation

  • Maintain the repository of enhancements and driving implementation of prioritized changes

  • Coordinate and build support for risk and control deliverables

  • Act as key program subject matter expert (SME) and engage across stakeholder community on requirements, timelines and deliverables

  • Build and maintain guidance documents, templates and timelines to support stakeholder community in deliverables completion

  • Provide guidance, facilitate training and cascade communications to stakeholder community (across enterprise and divisions)

  • Support Governance

  • Support in material preparation and status reporting for senior leadership on Risk and Control Profile Program

  • Support change management, prioritization and change control for enhancements to approach and reporting

Qualifications:

  • College Degree or equivalent experience; advanced studies/degree preferred

  •  8-10 years related experience and 2+ years management experience

  • Strong leadership and team management skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including crafting communications for senior leadership and wider stakeholder groups

  • Adaptability and resilience to work in a complex and changing environment

  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail

  • Risk Management experience is preferred, including experience with risk frameworks and industry standards (e.g. NIST, ISO, ITIL, COSO, COBIT, etc)

  • Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills and familiarity with Tableau

Freddie Mac offers a comprehensive total rewards package to include competitive compensation and market-leading benefit programs. Information on these benefit programs is available on our Careers site.

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $138,000 - $206,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
