  • Use data mining techniques to proactively identify emerging risks and trends that warrant escalation or independent oversight.
  • Leverage GenAI and ML tools to identify risk anomalies, surface emerging issues, and generate smarter insights.
  • Contribute to Second Line of Defense technology oversight efforts in coordination with Technology, Cybersecurity, and Data Governance teams.
  • Demonstrate flexibility in managing and evolving multiple risk programs in response to changing enterprise priorities; must be comfortable pivoting responsibilities and initiatives as business needs and strategic direction evolve.
  • Provide clear and concise risk reporting, translating complex risk information into actionable insights for senior leaders and decision-makers.
  • Build strong relationships with both internal business partners, serving as trusted ERM partners.
  • Expected to operate with a high degree of independence, exercising sound judgment to develop strategies, prioritize initiatives, and deliver measurable results.
  • Drive best-in-class practices in risk reporting, visualization, and insight delivery.

  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
