Bolt is on a mission to democratize commerce. We relentlessly prioritize our retailers—putting their brands front and center while enabling frictionless shopping at any touchpoint in the customer journey. At the center of it all is our rapidly growing universal shopper network—Bolt merchants such as Revolve, Lily Pulitzer, Kendra Scott, Lucky Brand Jeans, and Jonny Was can access tens of millions of shoppers, offering them a best-in-class checkout.

And revolutionizing ecommerce is only half of the equation—we’re also transforming the way we work. At Bolt, we have created a work environment where people learn to drive impact, take risks and make big bets, and grow from feedback, all while feeling welcomed and accepted for who they are. Come join us on the adventure today!

About the Role:

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and investigative KYC Analyst to join our Risk & Compliance team at Bolt. This person will help us maintain compliance with Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements, identify potential fraud, and ensure a frictionless onboarding experience for our users. You’ll work closely with both the support and risk functions, reviewing user profiles, flagging suspicious activity, and supporting our efforts to build a more secure ecosystem for our merchants and shoppers.

Please note, we are only considering candidates in the US or Canada that reside in the Pacific Time Zone (PST) for this position.

What You’ll Do:

  • Review and verify identity documents, business registrations, and customer information in accordance with KYC requirements.
  • Identify and investigate high-risk profiles, suspicious behavior, or documentation inconsistencies.
  • Analyze and verify information using public records, databases, and open-source intelligence.
  • Collaborate with the Risk and Support teams to escalate and resolve complex fraud or identity-related cases.
  • Use tools like Persona and internal systems to monitor and manage KYC workflows.
  • Help define and improve internal KYC processes, playbooks, and quality assurance standards.
  • Stay informed about evolving regulations and best practices related to identity verification, fraud prevention, and compliance.
  • Respond to internal and external inquiries related to user identity and KYC status.
  • Monitoring user activity and assisting in the detection and reporting of suspicious transactions by analyzing user activity to detect unusual patterns or behavior that may indicate fraud, money laundering, or other financial risks.
  • Review user profiles and activity for potential matches against government watchlists and sanctions databases, conduct sanctions screening on user data and activity to ensure compliance with applicable OFAC and global sanctions regulations, and escalating as necessary in accordance with internal protocols.

What You Bring:

  • 2 to 5+ years of experience in a support, risk, or fraud-related role—bonus points for direct KYC experience.
  • Experience working in fintech, e-commerce, payments, or digital identity verification is required.
  • Familiarity with identity verification platforms like Persona, Alloy, or Jumio.
  • Skilled at dissecting patterns, verifying details, and making sound, risk-informed decisions.
  • Comfort working cross-functionally in a fast-paced, tech-driven environment.
  • High attention to detail, with a passion for protecting users and preventing abuse.
  • Proven ability to analyze data and surface behavioral patterns or trend anomalies.
  • You thrive in a feedback-driven culture and actively seek input to grow and improve.

Estimated cash compensation for this role is $125,000-140,000 USD, plus equity, depending on experience.

Benefits:

  • Comprehensive health coverage: Medical, dental and vision
  • Remote-first workplace
  • Time away: Flexible PTO, paid holidays + floating holidays, your birthday off!
  • Paid parental leave
  • Competitive Pay
  • Retirement plans
  • Virtual and in-person team & company events
