This role plays a critical part in supporting enterprise sales pursuits by managing the end-to-end proposal process and ensuring that responses clearly articulate Board’s differentiated value as a unified platform for financial and operational planning.
The RFx Proposal Manager partners closely with Sales, Pre-Sales, Product, Legal, Security, Finance, Compliance, and executive stakeholders to coordinate complex proposal responses, develop compelling messaging, and ensure submissions are compliant, accurate, and aligned with deal strategy.

Key Responsibilities
1. Proposal Strategy & Delivery
- Lead the end-to-end development of RFP, RFI, and RFQ responses for enterprise software opportunities.
- Analyze solicitation documents to identify technical, functional, security, and commercial requirements.
- Develop proposal plans, compliance matrices, timelines, and SME assignments.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to gather inputs and ensure timely completion of proposal components.
- Ensure all submissions are accurate, compliant, compelling, and delivered on schedule.
- Translate Board’s platform capabilities into clear, customer-centric value narratives.
- Position Board’s differentiators including:
- Unified financial and operational planning
- AI-driven forecasting and analytics
- Enterprise governance and scalability
- Secure and integrated platform architecture
- Align responses with industry-specific use cases and transformation priorities.
- Support the creation of executive summaries, win themes, and strategic messaging aligned with sales strategy.
- Develop and maintain a centralized proposal knowledge library to improve response consistency and reuse.
- Implement and manage AI-enabled tools for proposal content discovery, tagging, and reuse.
- Maintain governance of proposal content, including metadata, version control, and content accuracy.
- Leverage AI-assisted drafting and summarization tools to improve response development efficiency.
- Analyze proposal trends and feedback to continuously improve proposal assets and templates.
- Partner with Sales teams to understand deal strategy and competitive positioning.
- Work with Pre-Sales and Solutions Consulting to validate solution design and technical responses.
- Collaborate with Legal, Security, IT, and Compliance teams to ensure responses meet regulatory and contractual requirements.
- Coordinate executive involvement in strategic pursuits where appropriate.
- Improve global proposal processes, templates, and governance frameworks.
- Leverage proposal automation platforms to streamline response development.
- Track proposal performance metrics including win rate, response cycle time, and stakeholder feedback.
- Contribute to the development of a Proposal Center of Excellence supporting global sales teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Finance, or a related field
- 4–8 years of experience in proposal management within enterprise software, SaaS, or technology environments
- Proven experience supporting complex enterprise RFP responses
- Strong ability to translate technical and financial concepts into clear business messaging
- Excellent project management and stakeholder coordination skills
- Experience with proposal automation platforms or AI-assisted content tools
- Exceptional written communication and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Enterprise Planning, EPM, FP&A, Consolidation, Supply Chain Planning, or Analytics software
- Familiarity with enterprise procurement and buying processes
- APMP certification or equivalent proposal management training
- Experience managing proposal content libraries or knowledge management systems
- Familiarity with CRM systems such as Salesforce
