Amentum is seeking an RF Test Engineer to join our team providing laboratory and Test Event support at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, and surrounding areas.

RF Test Engineer Responsibilities Include:

  • Perform laboratory work to conduct EMC, EMV, and HERO testing at  NSWCDD E3 Test Facilities including anechoic and reverberation chambers.  

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university Electrical Engineering, Electronic  Engineering, or Physics; 

  • Four (4) years is E3 specialized in EMC, EMV, EMI, or HERO engineering experience;

  • Two (2) year of experience in the following areas: Preparing E3 technical documents, which include test plans/reports, analytical evaluations, and presentations;  knowledge in antenna system verification testing;  application of military standards, handbooks, and specifications; MIL-HDBK-235, MIL-HDBK-240,  DOD-STD-1399 Section 070, NAVSEA OP3565 and MIL-STD-461/464 Standards.

  • Degree may be substituted with four year specialized experience using instrumentation and measurement systems required to conduct EMC, EMV, EMI, or HERO testing;  using standard E3 test facilities, such as an anechoic chamber, reverberation chamber, and/or open air test site to conduct E3 tests; performing analyses and evaluations to predict and define E3 problems; and defining/designing corrective measures. 

  • Test Event Support will include day travel to various test sites, locally. 

  • Must have an Active Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain a Secret Clearance.
