As our Revenue Recovery Associate, you will help improve revenue outcomes for our clients by researching underpaid Medicare Advantage claims. Every day you will research processing issues, examine denials, and confirm payment information with the payor or within client patient accounting systems to determine the appropriate discharge disposition and increases in reimbursement. To thrive in this role, you must have prior work experience in hospital billing or follow up and have no hesitation to pick up the phone as this position requires up to 70% outbound calls to insurance companies and post-acute care providers.
Here’s what you will experience working as a Revenue Recovery Associate:
Access claim information via EHR, payor portals, and contact with post-acute care facilities
Review medical records for Managed Care claims to verify accurate discharge status and post-acute care information; call post-acute care facilities to verify and obtain information as needed
Accurately track workflow and project progress; prepare reports for Project Managers and Supervisors, keep Project Managers and clients informed
Ensure payer follow-ups are completed through payment collection
Required Skills:
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
Prior experience in hospital billing and/or follow-up where you worked with a variety of payers and developed the ability to abstract information from medical records; experience with Medicare Advantage and managed care claims
Computer proficiency including accurate typing skills and the ability to become proficient in new, proprietary software programs
Ability to navigate Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
For this US-based position, the base pay range is $16.39 - $24.29 per hour .
