Job Overview
Own end-to-end partner revenue reconciliation for the Degrees business, ensuring accurate, timely, and explainable invoicing and revenue reporting each quarter. This role sits at the intersection of partners, Finance, Accounting, Analytics, and internal data systems, with a focus on resolving data discrepancies, improving processes, and ensuring revenue is audit-ready.
Responsibilities
- Own quarterly revenue reconciliation across Degree partners from data collection through final resolution.
- Collect, validate, and reconcile partner-submitted revenue reports against internal data sources.
- Investigate and explain variances related to enrollment, refunds, deferrals, timing, and partner-specific requirements.
- Proactively manage partner follow-up to ensure reporting is complete and on time.
- Maintain clear documentation of partner revenue definitions, reporting schedules, and exceptions.
- Partner with Finance and Accounting to ensure reconciled revenue meets close and audit requirements.
- Respond to ad hoc requests related to partner revenue, enrollment, and cohort analysis.
- Improve reporting, metric definitions, and reconciliation processes through standardization, SQL, and light automation.
- Develop scalable controls, monitoring, and documentation that reduce reconciliation risk and manual effort.
Basic Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in Revenue Operations, Finance Operations, Financial Analysis, Business Operations, Data Analytics, or a related analytical role.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with experience working with large or complex datasets.
- Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills, including data manipulation, reconciliation, lookups, pivots, and error checking.
- Experience investigating data discrepancies and determining root causes.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage recurring, deadline-driven processes.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work across multiple teams and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize competing requests, and follow through on deliverables.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SQL and business intelligence tools such as Looker or similar platforms.
- Experience with revenue reconciliation, invoicing, billing, financial reporting, or revenue recognition.
- Experience working directly with external partners, vendors, or customers.
- Experience in a marketplace, SaaS, EdTech, platform, or other business with partner-based revenue.
- Experience standardizing processes, building operational controls, or automating recurring analysis.
- Experience working across Finance, Accounting, Analytics, and Operations teams.
