Role Overview

The Revenue Marketing Manager, will develop and execute marketing strategies to support and grow advertising revenue. This includes creating compelling sales materials, working with the local teams to create and manage advertiser-specific campaigns, and ensuring sales team alignment of marketing efforts with revenue goals and overall marketing strategies/tactics.

You will work closely with the CRO, sales team, marketing team, and production team to ensure advertisers receive exceptional service and on-brand creative solutions tailored to their goals.

Key ResponsibilitiesSales Enablement & Collateral Development:
  • Design and produce polished sales materials, including presentations, one-sheets, case studies, and custom pitch decks.
  • Maintain and update a repository of marketing assets for the sales team to access on demand.
Custom Campaign Ideation & Execution:
  • Collaborate with sales and content teams to develop creative, client-specific campaign concepts that leverage the unique value of City Cast’s podcasts and local audiences.
  • Track custom campaign performance, gather insights, and, working with the Client Success team, package them into results-driven reports for clients.
Oversee Trade Partnerships
  • Partner with sales to negotiate meaningful advertising trades to bring on new advertisers, while simultaneously leveraging advertisers’ audience reach to increase brand awareness for City Cast in brand-right ways.
  • Work with Marketing on creative needs to execute successful trade programs
  • Integrate trade programs into content planning and overall city team’s workflow
  • Project Manage trade execution cross-functionally
  • Track performance and share learnings with all parties to refine our trade strategy 
Market Insights & Competitive Analysis:
  • Conduct research on trends in podcasting, local advertising, and City Cast’s key markets.
  • Analyze competitors’ marketing strategies and suggest ways City Cast can stand out to advertisers.
Brand & Thought Leadership:
  • Support City Cast’s positioning as a trusted, innovative partner for local and national advertisers by leveraging and collaborating on messaging that highlights the network’s value.
  • Work with the content team to showcase City Cast as a leader in community-driven storytelling.
Event Support & Sponsorship Activation:
  • Assist with the execution of advertiser events or sponsorship activations, ensuring flawless execution that drives ROI.
  • Coordinate marketing efforts around local networking and industry events attended by the sales team.
QualificationsExperience:
  • 4+ years in marketing roles supporting ad sales teams, ideally at media companies, magazines, or digital publishers.
  • Proven ability to create impactful sales materials and campaign concepts that drive revenue.
Skills:
  • Strong writing and storytelling skills with a knack for translating data into compelling narratives.
  • Stellar design and visual presentation skills. Specifically, experienced in graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) and proficient in presentation software (e.g., PowerPoint, Google Slides).
  • Analytical mindset to track campaign performance and interpret results.
  • Knowledge of podcasting or local media markets is a plus.

The Revenue Marketing Manager will report to the Chief Revenue Officer at City Cast. This position is full-time, with excellent benefits. The base salary is $70,000-$85,000 based on experience. Work will be primarily done from your home. Preference will be given to candidates that live in a City Cast market (Austin, Boise, Chicago, D.C., Denver, Houston, Las Vegas Madison, Nashville, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Portland, Salt Lake City, Seattle or the Twin Cities.)
