Tria Federal delivers digital services and technology solutions that support the health and safety of veterans, service members and civilians. For two decades, federal agencies have relied on Tria companies to advance their critical missions and modernize their systems, so that they can uphold their commitment to the American people. Today, we are pushing the boundaries of possibility through partnerships and investments in artificial intelligence and emerging technologies, developing solutions for the biggest challenges that government will face tomorrow.

We are proud to employ and support military veterans who bring mission-first mindset, technical expertise, and leadership qualities that strengthen our work. Veterans, transitioning service members, and military spouses are strongly encouraged to apply.

Tria Federal is seeking a Revenue Integrity Statistician – Cerner / MHS GENESIS to support the Defense Health Agency (DHA) Revenue Integrity (RI) program. This role provides advanced statistical analysis, modeling, and reporting in direct support of Revenue Integrity initiatives, including revenue surveillance, risk-based monitoring, remediation prioritization, and audit readiness across the Military Health System (MHS).

The Statistician supports RI leadership and operational teams by transforming Cerner/MHS GENESIS and related revenue cycle data into decision-support analytics that help detect revenue leakage, quantify financial impact, monitor corrective actions, and sustain compliant revenue capture across front-, mid-, and back-end revenue cycle workflows.

**This opportunity is contingent upon award.**

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and execute statistical analyses to support Revenue Integrity surveillance, risk-based monitoring, and remediation prioritization.
  • Identify trends, outliers, and revenue risk related to charge capture, DNFB, claim edits, denials, write-offs, underpayments, and cash collections.
  • Develop statistically valid sampling methodologies to support targeted RI reviews, monitoring activities, and audit readiness.
  • Quantify financial impact of identified issues and support prioritization and tracking of remediation efforts.
  • Perform pre- and post-remediation analysis to evaluate effectiveness and sustainability of corrective actions.
  • Access, extract, validate, and integrate data from Cerner/MHS GENESIS and DHA-authorized enterprise data repositories, including HealtheAnalytics, HDI/HARC, M2, MDR, EAS IV, Alpha II, SSI, or similar systems, to support RI initiatives.
  • Analyze end-to-end revenue cycle data spanning orders, documentation, charges, claims, edits, and payments, without serving as a system configuration or solution owner.
  • Reconcile data across multiple systems of record to ensure accuracy, consistency, and audit traceability.
  • Execute SQL-based queries, statistical scripts, and analytic logic to support data validation, anomaly detection, root cause analysis, and performance measurement.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and standardized reports using Power BI, Tableau, and advanced Excel to support RI monitoring and leadership reporting.
  • Produce recurring and ad hoc analytic deliverables to support RI governance, operational reviews, and audit readiness activities.
  • Document analytic methodologies, assumptions, and data sources to ensure transparency, reproducibility, and audit-ready evidence.
  • Collaborate with Revenue Integrity leadership and cross-functional stakeholders, including clinical, coding, revenue cycle, UBO, and IT teams, to interpret analytic findings and support decision-making.
  • Support RI workgroups by providing data-driven insights to inform issue triage, remediation planning, and escalation decisions.
  • Present complex analytic results clearly and concisely to operational and leadership audiences.
  • Support data quality, validation, reconciliation, and standardization of Revenue Integrity metrics.
  • Ensure analytic outputs align with DHA audit-readiness objectives, internal controls, and compliance requirements.
  • Safeguard PHI/PII and comply with HIPAA, DHA cybersecurity directives, and applicable data-use policies.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Health Informatics, Finance, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in healthcare analytics, applied statistics, or revenue cycle data analysis.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting Revenue Integrity, compliance, audit-focused analytics, or revenue cycle performance initiatives.
  • Hands-on experience accessing and analyzing data from DHA and MHS enterprise data sources, such as HealtheAnalytics, HDI/HARC, M2, MDR, EAS IV, Alpha II, SSI, or similar repositories.
  • Experience working with Cerner / MHS GENESIS data in an analytic, reporting, or decision-support capacity.
  • Proficiency in Python, R, or SAS for statistical analysis and modeling.
  • Advanced SQL skills for data extraction, validation, and transformation across multiple data repositories.
  • Experience developing dashboards and analytic products using Power BI and/or Tableau.
  • Familiarity with healthcare clinical, revenue cycle, and financial data structures.
  • Strong understanding of Revenue Integrity concepts, including surveillance, monitoring, remediation support, and audit readiness.
  • Ability to apply statistical methods to detect revenue leakage, assess compliance risk, and support continuous improvement.
  • Strong analytical reasoning, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple analytic priorities in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.
  • Proven ability to translate analytic results into operationally relevant, executive-ready insights.
  • Experience working in a federal, DoD, DHA, or large integrated healthcare environment strongly preferred.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
