This role sits firmly on the growth and strategy side of revenue operations. You’ll be focusing on subscription performance, forecasting, and billing optimization using Stripe and related data systems to shape decisions, improve retention and payment success, and guide long-term ARR growth. You’ll serve as the connective tissue between Finance, Product, Customer Experience, and Engineering, ensuring the operational foundations are strong as Arlo accelerates growth across both device and subscription businesses.
What You’ll Do
Stripe Billing Platform Ownership & Strategy
- Serve as the business owner for Stripe billing, ensuring systems are optimized to support pricing strategy, experimentation, and global scale.
- Manage the day-to-day health of our subscription billing ecosystem within Stripe and other internal systems.
- Oversee and reduce revenue leakage from failed payments and system discrepancies.
- Monitor payment performance and dunning effectiveness, focusing on optimization and prevention, not collections execution
- Partner with Product and Engineering to operationalize new subscription plans, price changes, and regional rollouts.
Reporting & Forecasting
- Maintain dashboards and recurring reports for ARR, churn, ARPU, payment success, subscription health and billing accuracy.
- Translate Stripe and subscription data into clear insights and recommendations that improve revenue strategy.
- Partner with Finance, Data, and Engineering teams on subscription forecasting and variance analysis.
- Identify opportunities to improve attach rate, retention, customer lifetime value and cash collection.
Process & Systems
- Continuously improve subscription operational workflows including care refunds, credit issuance, and proration handling.
- Ensure tight integration and data accuracy between Stripe, Databricks, and internal reporting tools.
- Support quarterly audits and ensure compliance with PCI, SOC, and regional tax (VAT, 3DS, etc.) requirements.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with CX and Care to improve the customer billing journey.
- Partner with the Marketing team to optimize billing communications.
- Collaborate with the Product team on billing and subscription enhancements.
- Act as a strategic partner to Finance on month-end close and revenue recognition accuracy.
What We’re Looking For
Experience
- 5–8+ years of experience in Revenue Operations, Subscription Billing, or Business Operations, ideally in SaaS, fintech, or consumer subscription businesses.
- Hands-on experience with Stripe or equivalent billing platforms (Zuora, Recurly, Chargebee).
- Proven ownership of subscription forecasting, ARR reporting, and billing analytics.
- Comfort working with data extracting - cleaning and summarizing insights.
- Familiarity with Databricks and BI tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Power BI).
Skills
- Strong understanding of subscription metrics (ARR, churn, ARPU, LTV) and revenue workflows.
- Analytical, detail-oriented, and process-driven.
- Excellent communicator with the ability to work cross-functionally and explain complex topics clearly.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to connect data to business outcomes and strategies.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with evolving systems.
Bonus
- Experience in a device + subscription business or other hybrid model.
- Understanding of payments compliance, invoicing, or tax requirements (PCI, VAT, 3DS).
- Hands-on Shopify experience to help integrate and improve e-commerce and revenue operations.
- SQL proficiency or ability to self-serve data for analysis.
The pay range for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries at commencement of employment and is expected to be between USD$150,000-180,000/year. However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including role, job-related knowledge, skills, relevant education and experience.
