The Revenue Analyst facilitates timely receipt of revenue by addressing billing issues, analyzing trends, documenting workflows, and improving collection rates while ensuring HIPAA compliance.
Position Summary
The primary role of the Revenue Analyst is to facilitate accurate and timely receipt of revenue. Through the course of standard revenue processes, the analyst is expected to identify trends and areas of opportunity that will result in more efficient workflows and optimal collection rates. This individual will become a subject matter expert in all areas relevant to our clients’ billing and revenue cycle.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Research moderate to highly complex billing, claim processing, and reimbursement issues
- Consistently meet production standards for assigned tasks
- Report regularly to management on patterns observed
- Propose solutions and enhancements to areas of opportunity
- Effectively document workflow and resolution steps
- Ensure confidentiality of all patient accounts by following HIPAA guidelines
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High School Diploma and 2 years’ professional experience required
- College degree preferred
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to triage and multitask
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency with MS Office Products, advanced Excel knowledge required
- Medical billing experience preferred
- Basic understanding of HIPAA policies and procedures
