Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and talented researcher/engineer to investigate novel approaches for achieving ultra-low latency in next-generation networks. In this role, you will design, develop, and evaluate new networking architectures, protocols, and technologies to meet the stringent latency requirements of applications such as real-time analytics, autonomous vehicles, and immersive communications.

Your work will have the potential to transform network design and deployment, enabling new use cases and applications that were previously impossible.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct research and development in low-latency networking:

    • Investigate novel network architectures and protocols to achieve ultra-low latency.

    • Design and develop new networking technologies and systems to meet stringent latency requirements.

    • Evaluate proposed solutions through simulations, emulations, and experiments.

  • Collaborate with researchers and engineers to integrate low-latency networking solutions with edge computing, cloud computing, and other emerging technologies.

  • Develop and maintain software and hardware prototypes to demonstrate the feasibility and effectiveness of proposed solutions.

  • Publish research results in top-tier conferences and journals; present findings to the research community.

  • Participate in grant writing and fundraising efforts to support research activities.

  • Collaborate with industry partners to transition research results into practical applications.

Requirements:
  • PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

  • 2+ years of experience in networking research and development, with a focus on low-latency networking.

  • Strong background in computer networks, including network protocols, architectures, and performance evaluation.

  • Experience with network simulation and emulation tools (e.g., ns-3, OMNeT++).

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Python, or Java.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience in writing research papers and presenting results to technical audiences.

Nice to Have:
  • Experience with edge computing, cloud computing, and other emerging technologies.

  • Familiarity with machine learning and artificial intelligence techniques and their applications to networking.

  • Knowledge of Network Function Virtualization (NFV) and Software-Defined Networking (SDN).

  • Experience with Agile development methodologies and version control systems (e.g., Git).

  • Certification in networking (e.g., CCNA, CCNP) or cloud computing (e.g., AWS Certified Developer).

What We Offer:
  • Competitive salary and benefits package.

  • Opportunity to work on cutting-edge research projects with the potential for high impact.

  • Collaborative and dynamic research environment.

  • Professional development opportunities and training.

  • Flexible work arrangements, including remote work options.

If you're a motivated and talented researcher/engineer looking to make an impact in the field of low-latency networking, we encourage you to apply!
