What You’ll Do

As a Research Scientist, you’ll contribute to the design and execution of psychometric research that supports Edmentum’s mission to deliver valid, effective educational solutions. You’ll collaborate with internal teams and external researchers, apply advanced psychometric methods, and help communicate research findings to diverse audiences.

In this role you will:

  • Conduct and manage psychometric studies that support product development and evaluation.
  • Translate complex psychometric topics into clear, accessible formats.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external researchers to support research execution.
  • Prepare research briefs, technical documents, and presentations.
  • Contribute to conference presentations, journal publications, and white papers.
  • Assist in preparing materials for the Technical Advisory Committee (TAC).

 Who You Are:

  • You have a PhD in Psychometrics, Research and Measurement, Quantitative Psychology, or a related field.
  • You bring 1+ years of experience conducting psychometric research.
  • You are proficient in R, SAS, or Python for large-scale data analysis.
  • You are familiar with IRT, CDM, CAT, LOFT, and other psychometric models.
  • You understand educational assessment design and validity studies.
  • You communicate technical content clearly to non-technical audiences.
  • You collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
  • You are knowledgeable about educational programs and instructional approaches.
  • You manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines with ease.
  • You are eager to stay current with advances in psychometric research.
  • You are willing to take on evolving responsibilities based on business needs.

Pay range for this role:
$90,000$105,000 USD

At Edmentum, we are committed to pay transparency. The salary range provided reflects market research, the responsibilities of the role, and alignment with our compensation principles. Actual compensation will be determined based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, relevant experience and skill sets. All compensation decisions are individualized and based on the specific circumstances of each candidate.
