The Research Editor will edit call summaries and polls, ensuring quality and accuracy in technical content related to cyber and IT security.

requires 2 days a week on site in Boston office.
IANS is seeking a Research Editor to support our Ask-an-Expert call summary and poll product lines. The individual should be a strong editor, either experienced in or with a strong interest in learning about cyber and information technology. The editor should have strong attention to detail, thrive in a fast-paced environment and be able to ensure every product meets IANS’ high standards for quality and insightfulness. Primary job responsibilities include:
- Call summary editing
- Edit call summaries produced using IANS’ inhouse AI tools to ensure final documents are fully anonymized, error-free and client-ready.
- Understand technical content enough to recognize and include links to any security vendors mentioned in the call.
- Poll editing
- Read though several subject matter experts’ answers to client-driven poll questions and choose the five best in terms of depth and actionability.
- Edit and format the top 5 poll answers into an IANS template, ensuring all answers are succinct and easy to read and that final documents are error-free and client-ready.
- Write all headlines, rewrite and fully anonymize client questions and be able to understand technical content enough to include links to related IANS content.
Skills
- Strong editing, writing and communication skills
- Experience producing technical/IT security content
- Experience with Adobe PDF and Microsoft Office suite, especially Word
- Working knowledge of AP style
- Salesforce expertise preferred
