The Resale Compliance Representative position is a high-volume customer contact position, as they assist customers in renewing their resale certificates on file with SanMar. They assist customers with the completion of state forms, answer questions, and provide resource tools. Their work impacts customers taxable status and contributes to SanMar's successful completion of various state resale audits.


What Will You Be Doing?

  • Ensure that SanMar’s customers are in compliance with each state’s requirements, process resale renewals according to state schedules, and maintain a working knowledge of various forms and state requirements.
  • Monitor incoming faxes and e-mails directed to the Resale Team, routing the appropriate person as necessary.
  • Complete customer information updates within 24 hours of receipt, which may include address changes, name changes, ownership changes.
  • Assist with resale issues and renewals by working with the customer and the Inside Sales and Credit departments; request resale forms when required.
  • Accurately meet deadlines with the monthly state resale renewal project, a key ingredient in SanMar’s resale renewal process.
  • Maintain and accurately update SanMar’s customer software and customer information systems with up to date information.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Comply with all policies and standards.

What Are We Looking For?

  • 0-1 years of customer service experience is preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft office
  • Track record demonstrating outstanding customer service skills
  • Proven track record demonstrating excellent attendance and punctuality
  • Must be able to work as part of a team and be self-directed with minimal supervision
  • Ability to learn new processes and procedures and retain information with the ability to utilize available resources to find answers and obtain information
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

What's Our Offer?

Salary Range: You`ll earn between $20.82 - $25.00 (WA, NJ); $19.05 - $22.88 (MN, NV, TX, VA); $18.32 - $22.00 (AZ, ID, FL MT, OH) on an hourly basis, depending on experience.


Bonus: You`ll be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus up to 5% of base salary.


Paid Time Off: You`ll accrue paid time off on a weekly basis based on hours worked up to 112 hours per year to start. Employees also receive 8 paid holidays and 1 paid family day off.

What Should You Expect?

Remote: Our standard working hours are 8:00-5:00 PST. Periodic travel may be required. The employee is regularly required to sit for extended periods while working on a computer and participating in virtual and in-person meetings. Frequent use of hands for keyboarding and standard office equipment is required. Occasional standing, walking, and reaching may be needed to attend meetings or collaborate in an office setting. The role requires the ability to perform close visual work on a computer for extended periods. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 10–15 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be available to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions.
