Renewals Specialist 

Job Overview:

As a Renewals Specialist you will be building and developing relationships with SmartBear customers, acting as their trusted advisor and understanding their unique business challenges. SmartBear is hiring top sales talent for Renewal Sales due to massive market demand as we are in the midst of unprecedented growth and global expansion. The SmartBear Renewals Specialist will nurture the customer relationship and act as a sales enabler to drive retention and customer loyalty for SmartBear products. Successful candidates are required to work in a hybrid model in our Galway office. 

Responsibilities:

  • Strategically engage with customers to align customer goals with our solutions. Ensure account retention, development and growth of lifetime customer value
  • Drive customer use and adoption of software to ensure maximum license utilization by uncovering customer value, usage and showcasing ROI of software leading to retention, upsell and cross sell opportunities
  • Expand and grow customer accounts by identifying customer needs and educating and selling additional products in our software portfolio
  • Monitor and report customers’ product experiences and provide consultation and recommendations to improve performance and success
  • Collaborating with internal SmartBear teams such as the Sales Teams in addition to Product, Support and Finance where necessary

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in a customer-facing role, with a strong focus on building and maintaining customer relationships
  • 1-2 years’ experience in Sales or Account Management — particularly in software or technology — is strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to drive results and revenue growth through consultative selling and account management
  • Demonstrated success in working cross-functionally and achieving results through collaboration
  • Experience engaging with customers both across business operations and technical discussions
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build trusted, long-term relationships at all organizational levels
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including persuasive presentation abilities
  • Hands-on, self-motivated contributor who thrives in a collaborative team environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with a customer-first approach
  • Based locally in or willing to commute regularly to our Galway, Ireland office
