This contract role focuses on executing the renewal workflow, including generating order forms, updating license levels, coordinating with school and district administrators, collecting purchase orders, and maintaining renewal stages in Salesforce.

You’ll work closely with our Scale Customer Success and RevOps teams to ensure timely renewals and uninterrupted access to NoRedInk, delivering a consistent and efficient experience for our customers.

About the role:

  • Quality & Compliance
    • Ensure accuracy of pricing, contract terms, and license levels
    • Meet turnaround expectations for quotes and inquiries
    • Maintain clean, organized records for full renewal visibility

About You:

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Comfortable managing a high-volume, repeatable workflow.
  • Experience working in Salesforce or a similar CRM.
  • Ability to follow documented processes with consistency and accuracy.
  • Excellent written communication skills for clear, professional customer emails.
  • Proactive approach to managing deadlines and follow-up expectations.
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
  • Preferred but not required:
    • Experience in K–12 education, edtech, SaaS renewals, or procurement workflows.
    • Background in Customer Success operations, billing, sales support, or administrative contracting roles.

Scope of Work:

This is a project-based contractor engagement at a pay rate of $28/hour, and the contractor will be subject to a standard background check due to the sensitive nature of the data. U.S. Applicants Only.

The volume of work will vary based on renewal activity and business demand, particularly aligned to the K–12 purchasing cycle.

  • Peak renewal periods (typically May–September):
    • Renewal volume may increase during these months, resulting in a higher number of requested tasks or projects.
  • Lower renewal periods (typically Q1 and Q4):
    • Renewal activity is generally lighter, and the number of requested tasks may decrease or pause.

There is no guaranteed minimum number of hours and no exclusivity requirement. The engagement does not have a fixed end date and may continue, be modified, or conclude by mutual agreement, based on business needs, and upon satisfactory completion of contracted work.

Timely communication and availability to meet agreed delivery timelines during peak renewal periods are important to the success of this engagement.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
