Regulatory Intern
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of the Regulatory team in a fast-paced, growing organization within a dynamic industry. An Intern will be a member of the team and, therefore, should expect substantive assignments that would otherwise be the responsibility of other team members.
Based in Washington, DC metro area, you will contribute to evaluating the complex regulatory requirements of global broadband satellite communications, including global advocacy, licensing and compliance activities.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Work together with the Regulatory team in researching and analyzing communications laws and regulations in multiple countries related to matters such as spectrum sharing, universal service, non-geostationary satellite regulations, frequency allocations and use, and Internet regulations.
  • Assist the Regulatory team in the preparation of advocacy materials, regulatory filings, and licensing applications.
  • Track regulatory proceedings and provide accurate summaries of regulatory documents and filings.

YOUR PROFILE
  • C urrent law student with at least one year of law school level education .
  • Strong interest in the telecommunications, technology, media, and satellite communications in particular.
  • Familiarity and/or a demonstrated interest in communications law and/or space law is a plus.
  • Strong legal research and writing skills.
  • Strong computer literacy (MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, SharePoint).
  • Fluency in spoken and written English with additional languages considered an asset.
  • Previous Federal Communications Commission experience preferred but not required
  • U.S. Citizens or people already authorized to work in the U.S.
