This individual will provide leadership in motivating, managing, and evaluating the sales team members while maintaining relationships with select customers in their assigned territory. They will develop and implement the sales plan and maintain a customer relationship process to achieve lasting brand and store loyalty. He/she will participate in the creation and distribution new and used equipment programs and manage inventory while supporting the salesmen as needed.
Responsibilities- Demonstrate leadership in all aspects of the company.
- Direct and motivate a professional sales team to accomplish the company’s objectives.
- Direct the use of company-provided systems/tools (i.e. Sedona Workflow) to fully document, track, record, follow-up and capture all related sales activity in a timely and accurate manner. Use of the system should contribute directly to the proposal process, winning the sale, volume, territory awareness, participation, and customer satisfaction.
- Advise sales team throughout the sales process, including but not limited to prospecting and closing; performing research and acquiring information on target customers; developing goals, quotas, and forecasts; analyzing sales statistics; and developing sales campaigns.
- Coach and mentor sales team on the following topics; including but not limited to needs/features/benefits, closing, time and territory management, negotiating, product knowledge, productivity, and gross margin.
- Ensure customer satisfaction. Work with the sales team to know the customer’s current and future expectations and work with all departments to resolve customer concerns.
- Lead the sales team to effectively understand and use manufacturers’ products and programs to attain acceptable market share levels.
- Manage inventory and assets.
- Support management in the pursuit of corporate policies, plans, goals, and long-term objectives.
- Foster a great place to work environment, encouraging accountability, open communication, teamwork, and a commitment to serving the customer.
- Participate in all business and/or department activities related to ensuring the customer experience is positive.
- Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments and adhere to all policies and procedures as specified in company manuals and as directed in the employee handbook.
- Ensure that company’s reputation and image in the community is consistent with Hutson Inc. Core Values.
- At least 3 years of management experience is required.
- Industrial and/or heavy equipment retail sales experience is preferred.
- Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in the fields of Ag Economics, Ag Business, Ag Mechanization, or Business Administration, or a related field are required.
- Solid understanding of local market conditions.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong computer skills.
- Ability to think strategically and solve problems.
- Light work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
- The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; expansive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts and/or operation of machines (includes inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly of fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.
- The worker is required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, thoroughness of work assigned or to make general observations of facilities or structures.
