The Regional Sales Manager, Western Canada (RSM) will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies within an assigned territory, focusing on both direct sales to end-users and in-direct sales with partners. Building strong channel partner relationships is a key to this role. A key aspect of this role involves leveraging expertise in Hardware as a Service (HaaS), Service Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR), and SaaS Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) models to ensure sustainable, long-term growth.

This role will be managing territories including but not limited to: Manitoba Saskatchewan Alberta and BC.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive Revenue Growth & ARR: Achieve and exceed assigned sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs), with a strong focus on understanding and leveraging Service and SaaS Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) models to foster sustainable, long-term growth within the region.
  • New Business Development & Consultative Selling: Develop new customer relationships through proactive lead follow-up and expert consultative selling directly to end-users or collaboratively with channel partners. This includes leveraging data analytics to identify customer needs and propose tailored, value-driven solutions that address their specific safety challenges.
  • Channel Partner Management: Identify, recruit, and work channel team to onboard, and grow strategic channel partner relationships to expand Blackline Safety's market reach and accelerate indirect sales. Provide partners with necessary training, support, and resources to ensure their success.
  • Sales Cycle Management: Manage the entire sales cycle from prospecting and qualification through to contract negotiation and closing, ensuring a seamless and efficient customer journey.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with existing customers, acting as a trusted advisor and identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling within the Blackline Safety product and service portfolio. This includes providing frequent follow-ups and facilitating training efforts.
  • Market Analysis & Strategy: Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to inform regional sales strategies and identify new opportunities.
  • Forecasting & Reporting: Provide accurate sales forecasts, pipeline management with HubSpot , and regular reports on regional performance to sales leadership.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams including Marketing, Product Development, Sales Development, Rentals, Customer Success, and Technical Support to ensure a cohesive customer experience and drive overall company objectives.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in selling MRR Solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent sales and negotiation skills.
  • Thorough understanding of technical or scientific products to be sold.
  • Organized with attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with clients.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Previous experience with gas detection sales or support services is an asset but not mandatory.
