The mission of the Regional Sales Manager (RSM) is to identify, train, and grow auto dealerships in their territory and to continuously work to achieve origination and engagement targets.  The RSM will carry out the company’s strategies by engaging the dealership via in store visits, phone campaigns, emails, and any other means of communication that will increase the dealership and territories overall expected performance. The RSM is to communicate market and dealer trends that have a direct impact on the company’s performance within the auto industry to the National Sales Manager. 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop professional relationships within the dealership that promote RoadRunner Financial and to manage the accounts to create maximum performance.
  • Utilize a consultative sales and management process, training the dealerships on procedure to increase applications and originations within the assigned portfolio of dealerships.
  • Continually monitor, communicate, and follow up with their dealer network via dealer visits, phone, email and text and provide internal updates about exchanges and programs.
  • Provide dealerships with all material on rate sheet changes, system updates, program enhancements and all other information that will maximize the dealership’s potential for success in the program.
  • Partner with internal teams to align sales strategies with overall company objectives.
  • Report and communicate to the dealership on their individual progress in tracking to expected goals utilizing available Tableau and SalesForce reporting.
  • Have the ability to monitor, update, create and access all reports on dealer performance and to have the ability to formulate a plan to address the findings in those reports.
  • Attend meetings, workshops, dealer events, outside marketing opportunities that pertain to the industry.
  • Maintain a high level of product knowledge, including competitors' products.
  • Hit and exceed stated goals on a monthly and annual basis.
  • Uphold all company policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of  outside sales experience, preferably within the automotive lending industry.
  • Must be able to travel up to 75% throughout the assigned portfolio of dealerships.
  • Must be able to make travel arrangements, be comfortable with air travel, be able to drive and/or rent a car, and walk around the dealership if needed.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and written.
  • Must have the ability to solve problems, digest and apply information, learn new skills, and think critically with an independent mindset.
  • Must be entrepreneurial with scheduling and possess outstanding time management and organizational skills.
  • Must be available during standard automotive business hours and available to work occasional off-hours.  May also include some greater than 8 hour work days.
  • Ability to conduct remote meetings and/or informational sessions via Zoom or similar.
  • Salesforce or similar CRM experience is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Google suite of products is preferred. 
  • Ability to create, comprehend and/or manipulate Tableau reporting is preferred. 

Location/Territory: The ideal candidate will reside around the Great Lakes territory in areas like Pittsburgh, PA Cleveland, OH, Columbus, OH, Cincinnati, OH or Detroit, MI. 


Compensation: The role described above offers a base salary of $80,000 to $90,000 + a bonus incentive.  Your offer will be based on location, the alignment of your qualifications with the requirements of the job and internal equity.  In addition to the above-mentioned salary, Total Rewards include bonus eligibility, a stock option package, and benefits as outlined below.
