Distinguished is a leading national insurance Program Manager providing specialized insurance programs to brokers and agents with specific expertise in 14 speciality lines. We’re seeking a Sales Executive-Northeast U.S. to provide guidance and lead the outreach to retail and wholesale agencies/brokerages to generate profitable growth. This role is responsible for maximizing the broker/agent production of our Fine Art & Collectibles program with a focus on the Notheast, while providing consultative expertise in the Fine Arts and Collectable space, working with our Underwriting and Marketing teams to achieve this goal.  In addition, this role will be responsible for developing current and future Affinity & Industry Partnerships to drive premium growth.   These include but not limited to current Affinity Partnerships.  
RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and execute a business plan that maximizes new business production. Focus will be balanced between creating new customer relationships, as well as deepening relationships with existing customers.
  • Identify retail agencies and brokers who have as clients / prospects potential customers for our products.
  • Consult and advise with retail brokers face to face monthly to educate on our underwriting appetite.
  • Conduct prospecting calls weekly to existing and potential agents/brokers to drive growth and increase written premiums.
  • Gather and document competitive intelligence on other markets and which brokers use those markets and why.
  • Input all prospecting activity in customer relationship management (CRM) software.
  • Participate in networking events in the insurance and fine art/collectible community.
  • Collaborate with other internal Sales teams and the Underwriting teams where appropriate for accounts which represent cross-selling opportunities outside of your assigned product portfolio.
  • Engage industry influencers promoting our products and services to drive additional growth opportunities. 
  • Attend industry events as directed to maximize new business opportunities.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum 5 years insurance experience - proven ability to sell P&C insurance at a retail or wholesale level.
  • Brokers license in Property and Casualty in state of domicile.
  • Relationships with retail brokers and agents in assigned territory.
  • Proficiency in understanding and keeping up to date personal sales ratios (with demonstrated insight on why the results are good, and where they can improve).
  • Thorough knowledge of all applicable coverage, policy language, and risk management concepts.
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce (or similar CRM), Microsoft Sync, Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel, and enterprise software.
  • Working knowledge of insurance pricing and rating concepts; claims operations; loss control operations, etc.
  • Bachelors Degree preferred.

LOCATION

This is a remote position located in the Northeast with preferences in NYC or Boston.

COMPENSATION AND PERKS

  • $120,000 - $140,000 base salary plus uncapped quarterly commission. Base salary commensurate with knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location.
