Reporting to the Zone Manager - Foodservice, the Regional Business Development Manager is responsible for prospecting and selling Irresistible Food Group products in the foodservice channel which includes but is not limited to regional restaurant chains, independent restaurant operators and broadline distributing partners. Success in this role requires an understanding of the commercial foodservice landscape, strong customer development skills and the ability to close new business opportunities at a high level.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Selling & Execution.
  • Planning, Prospecting and Selling IFG products to foodservice operators and distributors, including but not limited to Technomic 200 - 500 chains.
  • Execute against business development strategies for potential accounts.
  • Managing and updating the New Business Pipeline using a sales CRM platform.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with regional stakeholders (e.g., brokers, distributors, operators)

Planning & Coordination
  • Works with the Zone Manager - Commercial Foodservice on development and execution of annual sales plan.
  • Plans and manages weekly sales call planner.
  • Works with strategic foodservice broker partners to develop sales plans and KPI metrics for success.
  • Coordinates in-market trade visits with strategic broker & distributor partners as well as operator accounts and targets.
  • Leads and oversees regional sales activities (e.g. distributor trade shows, product cuttings and sales trainings).

QUALIFICATIONS
  • 2+ Years of Foodservice Sales experience.
  • Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated with demonstration of being a team player.
  • Ability to strive in a very fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve and communicate across departments.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings and/or weekends when required.
