OUR STORY

Quince was started to challenge the existing idea that nice things should cost a lot. Our mission was simple: create an item of equal or greater quality than the leading luxury brands and sell them at a much lower price.

OUR VALUES

Customer First. Customer satisfaction is our highest priority.

High Quality. True quality is a combination of premium materials and high production standards that everyone can feel good about.

Essential design. We don’t chase trends, and we don’t sell everything.  We’re expert curators that find the very best and bring it to you at the lowest prices.

Always a better deal. Through innovation and real price transparency we want to offer the best deal to both our customers and our factory partners.

Environmentally and Socially conscious.  We’re committed to sustainable materials and sustainable production methods. That means a cleaner environment and fair wages for factory workers.

OUR TEAM AND SUCCESS

Quince is a retail and technology company co-founded by a team that has extensive experience in retail, technology and building early stage companies. You’ll work with a team of world-class talent from Stanford GSB, Google, D.E. Shaw, Stitch Fix, Urban Outfitters, Wayfair, McKinsey, Nike etc.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

We are seeking a highly strategic, hands-on Recruiting Operations Lead to architect, scale, and drive our recruiting practices and infrastructure during a critical phase of growth. This role is ideal for a strong builder with a proven track record of designing and operationalizing high-impact recruiting systems in both high-growth startups and more mature, complex organizations. You will lead the development and execution of scalable processes, implement data-driven frameworks, own recruiter enablement and drive operational excellence across all facets of recruiting.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design & Drive Scalable Recruiting Infrastructure: Architect and operationalize end-to-end recruiting workflows, systems, and governance models that support both immediate hiring needs and long-term growth. Build infrastructure to scale rapidly and sustainably, balancing automation with personalization.
  • Strategic Process Optimization & Operational Excellence: Identify process inefficiencies and design innovative, measurable solutions that improve throughput, quality of hire, and overall recruiting performance. Lead continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Analytics & Performance Measurement: Build and own robust data frameworks, including KPIs, dashboards, and analytics tools to monitor recruiting health and inform executive decision-making. Use data to proactively identify trends, diagnose issues, and drive strategic hiring plans.
  • Technology & Systems Leadership: Evaluate, implement, and optimize recruiting systems (e.g., ATS, CRM, scheduling tools) to enable automation, scalability, and exceptional user experience. Integrate recruiting tools with broader HR and business systems for seamless operations and reporting.
  • Strategic Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a strategic partner to Recruiting, HR, and other Business Leaders to align on headcount planning, hiring forecasts, and workforce strategy. Lead operational reviews and planning sessions, ensuring clear accountability and alignment across stakeholders.
  • Drive Best-in-Class Recruiting Practices: Apply expertise from both startup and enterprise environments to establish scalable best practices that evolve with business needs.
Institutionalize operational playbooks and knowledge sharing to uplift the recruiting function.
  • Candidate & Hiring Manager Experience: Design and implement structured processes that ensure a seamless, high-quality experience for both candidates and hiring teams. Measure and continuously improve candidate experience metrics.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 10+ years of experience leading and designing world-class, innovative recruiting operations, technologies and processes.
  • Proven success in building and scaling recruiting operations in both startup and enterprise environments.
  • Deep operational expertise with a strong analytical foundation—able to translate strategy into execution through metrics and systems.
  • Hands-on experience designing and optimizing ATS platforms, recruiting CRMs, automation tools, and data workflows.  Experience with Greenhouse is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to build, measure, and refine processes that improve speed, quality, and experience across the funnel.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to navigate ambiguity and influence senior stakeholders across functions.
  • Resilient, solutions-oriented, and excited to build from the ground up in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
