As the Recruiting Operations & Enablement Specialist, you will support IMC's Global Head of Recruitment Operations in building and running the systems, processes, and programs that enable our recruiting teams operate efficiently and deliver excellent hiring outcomes.
You will partner closely with recruiters, recruiting coordinators, HRIS, and business stakeholders to lead operational projects, improve day-to-day processes, and identify practical ways to apply AI and automation to manual work.
You bring a recruiter's instinct for what good hiring looks like, a project manager's discipline for getting things done, and genuine curiosity about how technology - especially AI - can remove friction from recruiting. You listen closely to understand the real problem before designing a solution, and you're equally comfortable building relationships inside IMC and staying connected to the external recruiting and HR tech market.
Your Core Responsibilities:
Recruiting Operations & Process Excellence
  • Develop, maintain, and reimagine recruiting processes that balance the needs of the business with operational excellence.
  • Identify process improvements across recruiting and help build processes and procedures that span multiple regions.
  • Manage cross-functional projects from scoping through rollout, keeping timelines, stakeholders, and deliverables on track.
  • Collaborate on process documents and ensure that enablement is top of mind and easily accessible to the global teams.
  • Partner with the Global Head of Rec Ops to translate strategy into executable plans.

AI, Automation & Technology
  • Bring a practical eye for where AI and automation can eliminate manual, repetitive work and free recruiting coordinators, ops specialists, and recruiters for higher-impact activity.
  • Pilot, evaluate, and help implement AI-enabled tools and workflows across the recruiting tech stack.
  • Stay current on emerging recruiting technology and AI trends, bringing forward ideas that keep IMC's tech stack competitive and well-optimized.
  • Partner closely with the HRIS team on ATS on the recruiting tech stack and serve as a key bridge between functions.

Recruiter & Coordinator Enablement
  • Provide in-person and virtual support to help unblock problems for regional ops teams when necessary.
  • Build tools, documentation, playbooks, and training that help recruiters and recruiting coordinators work more efficiently and consistently.
  • Listen to feedback from recruiters and coordinators to understand pain points, and translate that feedback into operational and technology improvements.
  • Support onboarding and ongoing capability-building for recruiting operations staff.

Your Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, Human Resources Management, or a related discipline.
  • 4+ years of experience in Recruiting Operations or equivalent experience, ideally including time as a recruiter.
  • Strong project management skills, with a track record of managing multiple initiatives simultaneously and driving them to completion.
  • Experience working with Applicant Tracking Systems (Greenhouse preferred).
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities, but able to triage and set priorities based on business needs.
  • A demonstrated eye for practical AI and automation applications - able to spot manual, repetitive work and identify realistic ways technology can improve it.
  • Experience creating process documentation.
  • Operationally minded, with a proven ability to navigate ambiguity, listen closely to stakeholders, and turn their input into clear, efficient solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong cross-functional relationships across multiple teams, both internally and with the external recruiting and HR tech market.
  • Genuine curiosity about recruiting and HR technology trends, with a disciplined approach to staying current through networking, industry events, and peer communities.
  • Willing to travel frequently to other IMC offices to support enablement of recruiting operations.

  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
