The summary above was generated by AI

At EdSights, we're building the technology for higher education to understand what students are actually thinking and feeling, so they can act before small struggles become big problems. We call it Student Voice Intelligence: engaging students in real-time, AI-powered conversations, uncovering the real drivers of attrition, and delivering those insights to power student success and enrollment workflows.

Today, we partner with 300+ colleges and universities across the country. We're backed by an $80M investment from JMI Equity and are in a phase of rapid execution and expansion. This is an opportunity to do meaningful, hands-on work at a high-growth startup tackling one of higher education's most urgent challenges: helping more students persist from enrollment through graduation.

You’ll join a driven, thoughtful team that values ownership, moves quickly, and cares deeply about building products that make a measurable difference for students.

“EdSights has perhaps the world’s most valuable data set on what college students need to navigate their academic lives.”

- The Washington Post

The Role

We’re looking for a highly organized and people-centered Recruiting Coordinator to help us build exceptional teams. In this role, you’ll ensure our candidates have a thoughtful, seamless experience while enabling our team to move quickly and effectively.

You’ll work closely with our Head of Talent (who you'll report to), hiring managers, and candidates, managing interview logistics, improving processes, and representing EdSights with care and professionalism at every touchpoint.

Note: We will close applications for this role on Wed, May 27th. All applications will be reviewed after that date.

What You’ll Do
  • Deliver a thoughtful, engaging candidate journey that reflects EdSights’ culture, pace, and high bar for talent.

  • Coordinate interviews across multiple roles and time zones, managing scheduling with speed and accuracy.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for candidates throughout the interview process, ensuring a welcoming, responsive, and consistently excellent experience.

  • Stay on top of details in Ashby (ATS), making sure candidate records, feedback, and notes are accurate and up to date.

  • Assist in building and maintaining Ashby automations, interview kits, scorecards, and workflows that reduce manual work and tighten our process.

  • Support the talent acquisition team with job postings, application reviews, and candidate pipeline management.

  • Identify opportunities to improve recruiting operations and candidate experience, and help implement those improvements.

What We’re Looking For
  • 1-2 years of experience in recruiting coordination, HR, operations, or a similar role.

  • A bias toward speed — you respond, you follow up, and you close the loop before someone has to ask.

  • Strong organization, attention to detail, and follow-through.

  • Clear, thoughtful written and verbal communication skills.

  • The ability to juggle multiple priorities and stay calm in a fast-moving environment.

  • A candidate-first mindset and a genuine care for creating a great experience for every person who interacts with EdSights.

  • Comfort working with ATS tools, calendars, and collaboration platforms like Ashby, Google Workspace, and Slack.

  • A proactive, solution-oriented approach — you bring answers, not just problems.

  • A genuine interest in education, student success, or mission-driven work.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in a high-growth startup or tech environment.

  • Familiarity with Ashby or similar ATS platforms.

  • Experience using AI tools to work more efficiently and reduce manual lift.

The Interview Process
  1. Async Video Recording - Your application will be reviewed by humans, if we’d like to learn more we will send you a link to record a quick 2min video!

  2. Intro Call (20 min) - You’ll chat with Mary, our Head of Talent and who you'll report to, to discuss the role, your background, and logistics.

  3. Take Home Exercise - This is an opportunity to showcase your skills in a tangible way.

  4. Debrief + deep dive (30 min)— Meet with Mary again to walk through your exercise together and go deeper on how you think, your past experience, and the role.

  5. Leadership Call - You’ll meet with the co-founders, Claudia and Carolina for a final chat!

  6. References - We’ll ask for 3 references. Ideally, 1 to 2 will be previous managers.

  7. Offer!

Tips to help your application stand out:

⏰ Don’t rush! We’ve set a deadline for this application so every application that comes in by that time will be reviewed. You will not get bonus points for applying fastest.

🙋 Be genuine and human. Write your application answers yourself, don’t let AI write them. (We see a lot of the same responses and it’s an easy way to signal low effort)

✍️ Take time to answer every application question (there’s a reason we ask), but don’t write a novel. We are a fully remote company and prefer clear and concise communication. Strong communication is a large part of this role.

🔍 Do research on our values and our culture and why this role and company specifically are of interest to you.

Why join EdSights?

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
