The Landline Company (landlineco.com) is revolutionizing air travel by bridging the gap between regional communities and major airline hubs. We partner with top airlines like American, Air Canada, Delta, United, and Jet Blue to offer innovative multimodal connections across North America. We’ve launched a first of its kind remote terminal checkpoint to expand the reach of major metro airports into local neighborhood checkpoints. Our luxury motorcoaches replace short flights with a faster, more sustainable alternative—reducing costs, addressing pilot shortages, and enhancing passenger journeys.

Job Type: Full-time, Exempt

Salary: 55,000 - 62,000

Location: Remote, with as needed travel for new station launches and special events

The Role:
Landline is growing fast, launching new stations and airline partnerships across North America, and we need a Talent Acquisition Recruiter to keep our frontline hiring engine running. Reporting to the Director of People Operations and partnering closely with the SVP of People , you’ll be a hands-on individual contributor focused on frontline hiring. You’ll run high-volume, full-cycle recruiting for roles like Airport Agents and drivers, support select salaried hiring such as station leadership, and coordinate the hiring and onboarding events that staff each new market from the ground up. This role is for someone who thrives in a high-growth environment, loves being close to the work, and is energized by helping build a new team in a new city on a tight timeline.

What You'll Do:

  • Own high-volume, full-cycle recruiting for frontline roles, including Airport Agents and drivers, from sourcing and screening through offer, background checks, and onboarding.
  • Partner with station and Operations leaders to understand staffing needs for existing stations and new market launches, and build proactive frontline candidate pipelines to match.
  • Stay current on regional hourly labor markets and share candidate and pay insights with hiring managers and People leadership.
  • Track and report on your recruiting metrics, including time-to-fill, interview show rates, source effectiveness, and early-tenure retention, and use the data to continuously improve your process.
  • Support salaried hiring as needed, including station managers, business support team, and operations leaders, from intake and sourcing through offer and onboarding.
  • Plan and coordinate hiring events, and group interviews (virtual and on-site, run with local station teams) so frontline pipelines stay consistent, high-quality, and on pace with operational demand.
  • Guide candidates from the start of recruiting through training until new team members are released to their local team duties, compliant and supported.
  • Work with the Safety and Compliance team to ensure frontline hiring complies with FAA, FMCSA, and state passenger transportation regulations, including background checks, drug and alcohol testing, and driving record verification.
  • Work daily in ADP Workforce Now and People Systems (such as Tenstreet, Indeed, Glassdoor, Wellfound, Sterling, HireRight, ZenDesk), keep candidate records accurate, and recommend process improvements.
  • Help strengthen Landline’s employment brand as a premier passenger transportation employer, including contributing to recruiting marketing materials and campaigns that highlight our culture and benefits.
  • Build and maintain relationships with job boards, community partners, and external recruiting agencies.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 4+ years of recruiting or talent acquisition experience, primarily in high-volume frontline hiring, plus some full-cycle exempt-role recruiting.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • A hands-on, execution-focused approach and the ability to independently manage your own requisition load.
  • Experience hiring for customer-facing hourly roles such as airport, ground handling, or driver positions in a multi-state or multi-country environment, ideally in transportation, aviation, logistics, or hospitality.
  • Experience supporting or running in-person hiring events, job fairs, or mass onboarding.
  • Comfort operating in a fast-growing, sometimes ambiguous environment where priorities shift quickly.
  • Working knowledge of FAA and FMCSA hiring requirements, or a demonstrated ability to learn regulated hiring processes quickly.
  • Comfort working with recruiting data and metrics, with a track record of using data to improve outcomes.
  • Strong organization and the ability to manage a high volume of requisitions and competing deadlines.
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now or a comparable ATS; familiarity with Tenstreet, Slack, and Microsoft tools preferred.
  • Experience hiring in Canada, including Québec, is a plus.
  • French language proficiency and a recruiting or HR certification are a plus.

  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
