Description

ECP is a market-leading SaaS solution that enables senior living communities to better care for their residents. Our mission as a company is to build world-class software that increases the quality of life for seniors and improves clinical, business, compliance, and operational performance for our clients.

Our 90+ ECP team members are purpose-driven, collaborative, high-performing, and passionate about building software that makes a real impact. As we scale, we’re looking for a dynamic Recruiter to help us attract top talent, while supporting the employee experience and contributing to strategic people operations initiatives across the organization.

You’ll lead end-to-end hiring for key technical and go-to-market roles, while also rolling up your sleeves to help execute on special projects to support people & culture initiatives. This is a perfect role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced “start-up” culture, who loves to recruit and wants to make a meaningful impact on a business, while championing the employee experience.

This is a new role, reporting to ECP’s Head of People Operations & Talent Acquisition. As the first hire on this team, we are looking for someone to operate with the mentality that there’s no task too small, and no initiative too big, to tackle. Being a lean team requires adaptability and flexibility to support business priorities, pivoting as needed. You’ll work closely with ECP’s executive team and hiring managers, becoming a trusted partner and advisor supporting organization development and growth goals. You’ll have the opportunity to bring new ideas forward and help shape the future of recruiting and people operations as ECP scales.

While ECP is a fully remote company, we are looking for someone based in the greater Milwaukee area.

Recruitment (90%)

  • Own full-cycle recruitment for technical roles (e.g. software engineers, UX, product), as well as select non-technical roles across departments
  • Partner with hiring managers to define roles & responsibilities, craft compelling job descriptions, source passive talent, create scorecards, conduct initial Zoom video screens, and guide candidates through a smooth and engaging interview process
  • Maintain and optimize our ATS (Workable), including pipeline reporting, skill assessments, and recruiting processes
  • Create compelling job postings and outreach messaging that reflect our brand and values
  • Continuously refine sourcing strategies to attract diverse and qualified talent
  • Conduct market research on compensation, advising hiring managers on salary and pay band expectations
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of high-caliber professionals to ensure a steady flow of top talent for current and future hiring needs
  • Stay informed on hiring trends, talent market conditions, and best practices in recruiting
  • Build and improve processes that enable ECP to hire quickly, without sacrificing quality of hire

People Operations (10%)

  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure a positive and consistent employee experience
  • Contribute to employee engagement efforts as needed, e.g., supporting performance management cycles, internal communication, and planning team events
  • Support and execute on projects such as employer branding, implementation of recruiting tech/tools, or internal knowledge management
  • Research and recommend tools, best practices, and processes to elevate the people function
  • Support and champion initiatives that drive employee engagement in a remote environment
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree
  • At least 1 year of experience recruiting technical roles (engineering, product, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of full-cycle recruiting, sourcing strategies, and interview best practices
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growing and evolving environment where you wear multiple hats
  • Proactive and resourceful problem-solver with a strong sense of ownership
  • Experience working with an ATS
  • Proven ability to successfully manage multiple projects and/or competing priorities simultaneously
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Must reside within the greater Milwaukee area

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
