POSITION OVERVIEW

The reception team at Bain plays a vital role in shaping the overall workplace and visitor experience. As the first point of contact for clients, guests, and employees, this role is central to creating a welcoming, polished, and seamless environment that reflects the firm’s culture and standards of excellence.

This position requires a hospitality-focused professional who is comfortable engaging with a diverse range of individuals and is committed to delivering exceptional service.

The standard hours are Monday–Friday 8:00am-5:00pm.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as the face of the company by warmly welcoming employees and visitors, anticipating needs, and ensuring a positive and memorable first impression

  • Deliver a high-touch hospitality experience, including offering beverages, managing coat/ bag storage, and attending to guest comfort

  • Coordinate and process preclearance requests accurately and efficiently to ensure a seamless arrival experience

  • Manage high-volume phone lines with professionalism and courtesy, directing calls appropriately

  • Maintain a polished, organized reception area that reflects the firm’s standards

  • Provide coverage across reception desks as needed to ensure consistent service levels

  • Partner with colleagues to support special projects and enhance overall workplace experience

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Professional appearance with a warm, service-oriented demeanor

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to engage confidently with a wide variety of personalities

  • Strong verbal communication skills, both in person and over the phone

  • Highly attentive to detail while effectively managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Proactive mindset with a willingness to take initiative and support team needs

  • Collaborative team player who contributes positively to office culture

DESIRED BACKGROUND

  • Experience in hospitality, customer service or workplace experience roles (corporate environment preferred)

  • Prior experience as a receptionist, or in a front-of0house capacity

  • Demonstrated stability and professionalism in previous roles

Compensation:

Expected Annual Base Salary $60,000 - $70,000

Actual base salary will be determined by a wide range of factors including but not limited to role, function, level, experience, qualifications and geographic location. In addition to a competitive base salary, this position may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based upon factors such as individual impact, team and firm performance. Bain Capital offers a competitive benefits package designed to support employees’ health, financial security, family needs, and overall well-being.
