About the Role:We are hiring a Reasonable Accommodations Specialist to support a federal agency in handling requests from employees and applicants with disabilities. In this role, you’ll lead the interactive process, ensure compliance with federal laws (Rehabilitation Act, ADA), and help create an inclusive workplace.
Key Responsibilities:Receive, assess, and track reasonable accommodation (RA) requests.
Manage the full interactive process with employees, HR, managers, and medical providers.
Review documentation and recommend appropriate accommodations.
Draft determination letters and maintain secure records.
Provide training and guidance on RA policies and disability law.
Prepare reports and track key metrics for internal/external use.
3+ years' experience handling reasonable accommodations (federal or similar setting).
Knowledge of Section 501 of the Rehabilitation Act, ADA, and EEOC regulations.
Strong communication and documentation skills.
Bachelor's degree in HR, Public Admin, Disability Studies, or related field.
Prior federal contracting or agency experience.
Certifications: ACTCP, CPDM, SHRM-CP/SCP, or similar.
Familiarity with assistive tech or case management systems.
