As a Control System RAMT Engineer, you will develop and maintain the Safety and Reliability artifacts for Electronic Control and Monitoring Systems to ensure the design meets the engine functional hazard rates and all applicable certification requirements. You will be responsible for providing technical guidance, counsel, and direction to design engineers to ensure technical outcomes are delivered to appropriate standards and quality.
Tasks include mathematical modeling of complex systems, probabilistic safety assessments, and hazard assessments, extracting actionable insights to improve our products. We apply multi-domain engineering knowledge for components and systems, detailing failure mechanisms and their system effects. This role involves the integration of diverse areas of knowledge to create and support complex systems that enable reliable system operation under highly challenging conditions.Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
Establish, develop, and maintain a Reliability demonstration plan for the Avio Aero EECUs, adhering to regulatory, internal and customer requirements and standards
Develop the EECU Failure Hazard Analysis, Failure Modes, Effects and Criticality Analysis, Failure Catalogue, Failure Rates and Critical Failure Rates, SSA (System Safety Assessment), FTA (Fault Tree Analysis) and Common Cause Analysis, DAL Allocation for SW and CEH HW, following SAE ARP 4761 and SAE ARP 4754A guidelines
Perform the EECU Time Limited Dispatch Analysis
Develop the Testability demonstration plan and failure simulation list, the testability analysis and the testability demonstration report
Support the Controls team in planning and executing its activities according to the development program Master Plan, participate to meeting and formal reviews with GE Avio CVE, RAMT System team, Customer and Certification Authorities
Qualifications/Requirements
Master’s degree in Engineering or other STEM disciplines with experience in RAMT
Extensive experience in system design in highly complex control systems in aerospace or in the industrial, automotive, medical sectors
Strong ability to prepare failure mode and effect analysis ( FMEA) and formulate mathematical models to identify units posing excessive failure risks, and recommends proposed design changes
Strong ability to perform functional and signal point-to-point FMECA tasks to the subassembly level
Strong experience with system engineering principles, e.g. V-lifecycle process including requirements engineering, Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) methods, tools, validation & verification principles (keywords: DOORS, SCADE, Matlab\Simulink, Synergy, Python, NPSS, C++)
Understanding of engine and propeller controls principles
Documented exposure to the Aviation Regulation & Standard
Work Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is required

Fluent Italian and English (written and spoken).
