Wormhole Labs is a technology company that specializes in building multi-blockchain software. Our experience spans a broad spectrum of blockchain technology, and we operate at the intersection of application and platform.
We're seeking a Quantitative Researcher to join our team as we scale our cross-chain intents and trading infrastructure. You'll develop quantitative strategies spanning traditional market making, alpha generation, and cross-chain execution, working across centralized exchanges, decentralized venues, and cross-chain intents infrastructure.
What you will doScale existing intents infrastructure by improving solver economics, reducing execution latency, and building automated cross-chain inventory rebalancing systems to maximize capital efficiency
Develop and deploy mathematical trading strategies including market making and statistical arbitrage across CEXs and DEXs
Explore emerging crypto protocols and DeFi primitives to identify novel trading opportunities and develop non-traditional sources of alpha
Design and implement low-latency trading systems from the ground up, writing performance-critical code across the stack
4+ years of quantitative research experience on a successful delta-one trading team
Strong programming skills (Python for research, Rust for performance-critical systems)
Solid foundation in statistics, probability theory, and numerical methods
Experience with large-scale data analysis and modeling
Interest in blockchain technology and DeFi (prior experience with crypto trading, or intents systems a plus)
Competitive salary and restricted token units, dependent on position type and location.
Discretionary bonus dependent on company performance and individual impact.
Unlimited time off, healthcare premium reimbursement, and 401K.
Top-of-the-line MacBook Pro and test mobile devices.
Flexibility of working from wherever you have work authorization, as long as you are available ~10-6PM US Eastern Time. We minimize unnecessary meetings, but building decentralized systems requires synchronous communication.
Note: We will only respond to applications that meet our requirements. If you don't get a response, please assume a polite decline.
