Job Description
DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Conduct extensive analysis of pricing functionality and settings as well as customer behavior to improve existing pricing related strategies and policies using advanced research, programming, and quantitative techniques. Establish test/control groups, in-order to perform predictive modeling for new pricing Change in Terms, Default pricing and Rate Reduction campaign initiatives. Work with all Business Units and support functions to create and refine testing plans including targeting, offers, channels and frequency based on data analysis. Own and support strategic pricing initiatives. Evaluate effectiveness and perform profit & loss analysis, which seeks to quantify both statistical and practical significance. Solve unstructured business problems and develop deep dive analysis of customer behavior using multiple analytics and statistical techniques. Synthesize large amounts of data from various data sources into actionable insights; present analyses and recommendations to senior management which leads to changes in current business strategy. Develop and maintain automated reporting; maintain high quality of reporting and audit to ensure data integrity. Maintain and develop Key Risk Indicators (KRI's), Action Plans (AP's) and Health Checks. Assist in the targeting and analytics of customer related corrections. Prepare data analysis for ad-hoc requests including revenue generating initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Business Analytics, Finance, Statistics, Data Science or related field of study plus three (3) year of experience in the job offered or as Quantitative Analytics, Marketing Analytics, Business Analytics, Data Analyst, or related occupation.
Skills Required: This position requires three (3) years of experience with the following: programming skills including SAS, Alteryx and Python in a UNIX environment to perform ETL (extract, transform, and load), data mining, and data manipulation; retrieving information from the big data platforms including Teradata, Oracle, Hadoop, and Snowflake using SQL; analyze and interpret trends, identify opportunities and transform data into meaningful insights and actionable recommendations; MS Office Suite functionalities, including LOOKUP, INDEX MATCH, data analysis add-ons, pivot tables, VBA, and VBScript; designing and creating interactive PowerPoint presentations and Tableau visualizations to present analysis to both analytical and non-analytical stakeholders; A/B Testing, including the ability to set up test and control groups, monitor trends, and perform analysis using various statistical techniques including t-test, Chi-square, Z-test, ANOVA, and Bayesian to quantify initiative outcomes; AutoSys to schedule and execute automated reporting; and Hyperion Essbase querying tools to perform credit card financial analytics. This position requires two (2) years of experience with the following: using Total System (TSYS) credit card system to investigate account samples and exceptions.
