As a Vice President of GIS and Site Selection you will lead our customer facing geospatial initiatives, that will be instrumental in optimizing our network infrastructure, identifying strategic locations for expansion, and providing invaluable insights through advanced spatial analysis and visualization. You will leverage your deep expertise in Esri ArcGIS Enterprise suite, network optimization methodologies, and display a proven track record of translating complex geospatial data into actionable business strategies for our real estate team.
Job responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute the long-term vision and strategy for GIS and site selection, aligning with overall business objectives for growth, efficiency, and market penetration.
  • Lead the development and implementation of advanced geospatial models for network optimization.
  • Conduct comprehensive geospatial analysis to identify optimal sites for new [e.g., retail locations for bank expansion], considering factors such as demographics, competitor analysis, market demand, accessibility, and operational constraints.
  • Develop sophisticated site scoring models and predictive analytics to support data-driven real estate decisions.
  • Collaborate closely with Real Estate, Operations, and Finance teams to provide GIS-driven insights throughout the site selection process.
  • Establish and maintain robust GIS data standards, policies, and procedures to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and accessibility across the organization.
  • Oversee the acquisition, integration, and management of diverse geospatial datasets (internal and external).
  • Champion the use of Esri tools (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Dashboards, Experience Builder, etc.) to create compelling, interactive, and user-friendly maps, dashboards, and applications.
  • Develop and present clear, concise, and actionable geospatial insights to senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Promote self-service GIS capabilities where appropriate.
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of GIS professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and excellence.
  • Identify and implement best practices in geospatial analysis and technology.
  • Drive innovation in the application of GIS to solve complex business challenges.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, Urban Planning, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field. Master's degree highly preferred.
  • 5-7years+ of progressive experience in GIS, with at least 3+ in a leadership or management role focused on site selection and/or network optimization.
  • Expert-level proficiency with the full Esri ArcGIS Enterprise suite, including: ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online/Portal, ArcGIS Enterprise (Server, Data Store, etc.), ArcGIS Dashboards, Experience Builder, StoryMaps, Spatial Analyst and Network Analyst extensions.
  • Strong understanding of statistical analysis and predictive modeling applied to spatial data.
  • Experience with various data formats and sources, including census data, market data, demographic data, and proprietary business data.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team, manage multiple projects, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:
  • Prior financial services, management consulting, or corporate strategy experience preferred
