Quality Tech - S1 (Quality Tech I) 3rd shift

 

Provides technical assistance to engineering to support manufacturing efforts by implementing corrective and preventive actions.  Assists engineers in developing methods and procedures to control or improve manufacturing processes.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assists engineering in providing manufacturing support by training operators on processes and engineering changes and performing operator certification on-the-job training and testing.
  • Develop knowledge of manufacturing practices and procedures.
  • Learns process improvement techniques by assisting Engineering in researching and validating changes in processes/equipment and test methods to improve yield and/or reduce cycle time per established procedures.
  • Learns traceability and inspection requirements, learns statistical process control criteria, Learns how to develop manufacturing instructions, and create training sheets and certifications. May also train operators on basic processes and engineering changes, and perform operator certification on-the-job training and testing.
  • Assists Engineers in collecting, compiling, measuring, organizing and recording data, and by writing procedures. May keep lab notebook.
  • Responsible for the final Process Monitor Release for products prior to distribution.

 

Management Requirements

  • Associate degree required or an equivalent combination of education/work experience
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Medical Device and/or Pharmaceutical regulated industry.
  • Experience in a related position highly desirable
  • Product Quality related experience preferred
  • Quality Academy experience or participation preferrable
  • Must be willing to work business hours shift, on weekends and 12-hour PM shift as required
  • Bilingual preferred

Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.


Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).


Compensation for exempt, non-sales roles may also include variable compensation, i.e., annual bonus target and long-term incentives (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
