Job Responsibilities:
JOB SUMMARY:
Quality, Customer Liaison is a Customer Service Representative for quality at the customer facility (Duncan SC). Establishes relationships with customers to ensure the quality of the product meets their standards.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Act as, "First Response" for any quality issues on-site and work to contain problems until clean points arrive. Coordinate any external sort activities at customer facility. Start initial evaluation, diagnostics, and reporting for any customer complaints and provide immediate feedback to the plant. Recommends response to complaints considering test records, production records, legal standards, and complaint validity. Completes appropriate tests to confirm a product's compliance with quality standards. Documents test results and analyze data. Make suggestions for improvements. Follow-up with the customer on all customer complaints, ensuring customer satisfaction. Represent the Company in a professional manner when performing job duties. Performs related duties and special projects as assigned. Understand your responsibility for health and safety in the workplace. Cooperate with OSHA inspectors. Wear the appropriate personal protective equipment. Follow all safety rules. Report unsafe conditions immediately. Report injuries, accidents, illnesses, near misses, property damage immediately. Will not remove or make ineffective any protective device such as a guard, light curtain, etc. Will not use or operate any machine or equipment that the employee is not trained to operate. Will not use or operate any machine or equipment in a manner that may endanger any employee including themselves. Understand your responsibility for health and safety in the workplace. Provide an employee with written instructions of the measures and procedures required to protect the employee. Advise the employee of the existence of any potential or actual danger to the health or safety of the employee of which the supervisor is aware. Understand your responsibility for visitors and general public health and safety in the workplace. Cooperate with OSHA inspectors. Do not allow discrimination against employees who properly exercise their right under OSHA. Use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment to set a good example. Ensure that employees wear the appropriate protective devices. Know the safety rules at Magna - South Carolina. Understand your responsibility to the environmental programs, including ISO14001. Understand the importance of conformance with all environmental procedures of the environmental management system, including emergency response. Understand the EMS consequences, actual or potential, of their work activities and/or their behaviors from specified work instructions. Understands and follows existing Magna policies, procedures, work instructions and standards and makes recommendations for continuous improvements.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in the automotive industry with extensive customer interaction.
  • Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills in order to effectively communicate with internal and external contacts.
  • Demonstrated ability to represent the Company in a professional manner when performing all job duties.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills to exercise influence at various levels and functions.
  • Must be able to operate standard measurement tools (i.e. micrometers, filler gauges) and basic electrical equipment (test box).
  • Basic computer background with ability to capture information using Excel / Word / PowerPoint and use email programs.
  • Preferable experience in the exterior mirrors product line and/or plastic painted parts.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. as needed.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and sit for extended periods of time.
  • Must maintain proper vision requirements
  • Must be able to maintain alertness to their surroundings
