SUMMARY
The Quality Engineer I (QE I) is responsible for the monitoring/improving of processes and systems in support of the CTC Global Quality Management System (QMS). The QE I plans monitoring activities through audits, inspections and data collection events in order to assess compliance and identify areas for improvement. The QE I will conduct basic data analysis to identify trends in processes. The QE I coordinates with cross-functional departments to implement improvements through training, process changes, design changes and any other means necessary to achieve Quality objectives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plans/executes the CTC QMS audit program in order to assess compliance to ISO 9001 and CTC Global requirements.
- Plans/executes audits of manufacturing and inspection processes for conformance.
- Identify process non-conformances and opportunities for improvements.
- Collect and monitor production and test data.
- Provide basic technical analysis of product quality trends to identify issues and opportunities for improvements.
- Reports results of audits and monitoring activities to impacted stakeholders.
- Participate and lead cross-functional problem-solving and corrective-action activities.
- Implement changes to working standards (Procedures/Forms/Work Instructions) to enable process improvements.
- Conduct basic training in support of improvement activities.
- Create graphics and video media to improve communication of working standards.
- Manage the tool calibration and monitoring system.
- Oversee the lifecycle of quality sign-off stamps.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS in Engineering/Math/Science/Business or similar technical degree and/or:
- 3+ years of experience working in an inspection/manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001 requirements.
- ISO 9001 Lead Auditor Certification preferred.
- Working knowledge of problem-solving methods (5 Whys, 8D, Kaizen, etc.).
- Working knowledge of the MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc. ).
- Basic knowledge of graphic/video editing software.
- Experience in visual inspection and/or using a variety of inspection and testing equipment.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical specifications and company process documents.
